Body Renew Massage Therapy ** Remedial massage is designed to assist in repairing, regenerating and relieving pain in the soft tissues of the body through manual manipulation.

Body Renew Massage offers remedial, deep tissue, trigger point, sports, relaxation and pregnancy massage to assist with your overall physical and mental health and improve such areas as sleep, movement and pain throughout the body When muscles have become tense, damaged or “knotted”, remedial massage can restore healthy function. The firmer pressure and targeted techniques of remedial massage can provide you with relief from pain, improved movement and improved healing for muscular injuries. A pre and post assessment is undertaken and treatment plan discussed to assist in the recovery time.
** Deep Tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue and targets specifically the individual muscle fibres. Deep tissue massage separates the fibres of the muscles and releases both toxins and deeply held tension points. It helps to loosen muscle tissues and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. This type of massage usually focuses on specific areas and may cause some soreness during or after the session, however if done correctly, you should feel better within a day or two. Water helps to eliminate toxins from the body so it is recommended that water consumption is increased after a deep tissue massage.
** Sports massage uses massage to prepare the body before exercise or to help the body recover after exercise. It focuses on the use of massage to assist training, prevent injury, and treat sports injuries. Sports massage offers benefits for all kinds of athletes. Sports massage is generally a firmer massage that works specifically with sporting injuries and ailments.
** Relaxation massage aids to soothe and calm nerve fibres and lower blood pressure using long, smooth and gliding strokes with gentle yet firm kneading techniques. Relaxation massage – like other forms of massage - can offer benefits such as improvement to circulation, reduction in muscle tension including the relief of muscle tension headaches, increased joint mobility and flexibility and removal of toxins accumulated in the muscle fibres. Regular treatments will also increase the immune system.
** Pregnancy massage assists in the relief of headaches, relaxes muscle tension, reduces fatigue, alleviates backaches, relieves leg cramps, reduces swelling/oedema, and enhances sleep. Pregnancy massage is undertaken with gentle and smooth gliding strokes to increase blood circulation and soothe muscle fibres and offers benefits similar to a relaxation massage.
