Welcome to our cosy healthcare hub, tucked away in the picturesque village of Thredbo, the heart of the Snowy Mountains. Capital Chemist Thredbo is owned by Rebecca Young and Rachel Rhodes. Rebecca and Rachel take pride in creating a Community Pharmacy that focuses on individual needs that will provide holistic health solutions to you and your family. Just like the seasons and activities change in Thredbo, so too does our business. Over winter we offer a complete Community Pharmacy service including prescription dispensing, medication counselling and a Pharmacist on site to discuss any minor ailments you have. Over Summer we service your first-aid, general health and wellbeing needs but do not operate as a pharmacy. At Capital Chemist Thredbo we aim to service your essential healthcare needs while you’re on your outdoor vacation to keep you active up on those mountains! What we lack in size we aim to make up for in service and professional advice. In the majority of cases, we can order-in overnight. Alternatively, plan ahead and give us a call before you get here.

Meet Melissa - our other lovely pharmacist! ☺️

Melissa is excited to be back for her second season at Capital Chemist Thredbo!

After spending summer back in Melbourne, she found herself missing the mountains too much—so she’s returned for another winter of work, skiing, and connecting with the community. 🤗 🎿

Melissa is looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new skiers and boarders this season. With a new pair of skis in tow, she’s hoping to spend more time exploring the backcountry and learning a few new tricks in the park along the way.

Melissa said it’s a pleasure to once again support and serve this incredible alpine community and is looking forward to seeing you on the mountain!

Meet Ebony, one of our lovely pharmacists!

Originally from the Hunter Valley, Ebony began her community pharmacy journey in Newcastle before making her way to the Sunshine Coast. For the past three years, she’s been based in beautiful Port Douglas, soaking up life alongside the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.

This winter, Ebony is trading tropical beaches for alpine peaks as she joins us for her very first season in Thredbo. ❄️

A keen traveller, Ebony jumped at the chance to experience this stunning part of the world—even if it meant swapping swimsuits for snow gear!

This is her first time on the slopes, and she’s diving right in by learning to snowboard. If you have any tips or tricks to help her find her snow legs, she’d love to hear them! ☺️
