Members, Family and friends came together today to remember and celebrate the life and adventures of Derek “ Crafty” Andrews a long time very valued club member and mate. With the blessing of his family, I share couple of pictures from today’s gathering. “Long story short” greatly missed but never forgotten.
RIP mate.

Some of the attendees at our club tag a long trip up to Kauri Crk. The weather Gods were definitely not smiling with some heavy scuds coming through before the wind took over. Still some reasonable fish being boated with Ian Smith and Malcolm Kay’s feed of good whiting and Lester Cross with a nice Cod and Paul Box and Barry Nalder getting amongst the Flatties.

Terrific night at our latest workshop hosted by Ron Cox showing us a lifetime of fishing this area. Great insight of how the fishing was compared to today. Thankyou Ron, a great night enjoyed by all.

16/03/2026

Hey Tin Can Fishing Club members, don’t forget the workshop night this Thursday19th March will be our evening hosted by our own Ron Cox who will be giving us a unique opportunity to peek into his vast knowledge and experiences of fishing our waterways and surrounds over a long period of time. This is not to be missed. Be there 6.30 pm at the clubhouse.

Attention Tin Can Bay Fishing Club members, after some miserable weather has cancelled a couple of our outings, we still have our tag-a-long trip to Kauri Crk this Sunday the 22nd March. Hopefully the fresh water will have cleared a bit to make it a pleasant day.
Please contact Chris at The Chandlery to let him know if you are attending. Boats are to assemble at the Log Dump at 6.30am for a 6.45 start.
To access The Log Dump ramp take the Tinnabar exit of the Maryborough Tin Can bay road then the first turn off on the right (dirt road/ dirt ramp)
For more details consult your club activity sheet as sent out by the secretary or contact Chris at The Chandlery 0754864744
See you there
