Nicoleen Agnello is a Guardian of the flame of love and light of the Universal Spirit. Even though it is a huge challenge, she rates living with her life threatening auto immune disease as the best thing that has happened to her, enabling her to re-evaluate her values and alter her focus. After ten years of chronic debilitating illness she has risen as a phoenix from the flames, healing herself from chronic illness and wishes to dedicate her life to helping others do the same. Art Flame:
As a master storyteller she draws on symbolism and spiritual truth, seeing the divine in the everyday. She uses our shared human story to reconnect people to each other and our inner spirit. She is a conceptual visual artist, originally from South Africa, now based in Seaford and her work is built on compassion and human rights. She uses installation, painting and video to heal herself and society. Her guiding belief is everyone is equal and valuable, we are one and all connected. As an award winning art director she has over 20 years international industry experience for many high profile brands. Her emotionally charged artworks stay with you long after you first view them and she frequently uses her voice to speak for the marginalised and to give voice to taboo subjects such as depression. She has had three successful solo exhibitions, participated in high profile shows such as ‘All we can’t See’ as part of Melbourne Art Fair and won many awards for her conceptual art direction such as Cannes Finalist, France. Earth Flame:
As a vegan and a naturalist with a deep appreciation and respect for mother earth and the environment. She also runs a weekly 2 hour foraging class called ‘The wild spirits’ in Seaford on Saturday afternoons. In these mixed adult and children classes a group is taken on a guided walk to forage a wild or easily available suburban plant. We learn about the nutritional, medicinal and spiritual uses of the plant, do a worksheet and then apply our knowledge practically through a simple recipe using the plant. Tonight we have a full moon in the sign of Cancer. Cancer is symbolised by the crab and is all about feminine energy.

You may find that challenging relationships around nuture and care are brought up for resolution. There may be surprise shifts where decades long tension in relationships come to a head in a healing way.

Whether its conflict you experience as a mother with your own children, relationship difficulties you have with a mother or mother figure, or relationships with significant females in your family line or friend group, all are coming up for healing.

If you are struggling now is the time to take extra care to nuture yourself. Small things like taking yourself out for a cuppa or a swim, cleaning your room, doing your laundry, decorating your space or making time to connect with woman whose company your find nuturing and uplifting will help you.

We are still in the snake energy cycle so be gentle with yourself as you continue to shed heavy emotions ahead of the new energy cycle that begins on 17 Feb, and ushers in the flame horse.

2026 will be a supercharged time of action, growth and courage but it asks for balance and mindfulness.

2025 was a tough year. I touched a level of grief and loss deeper than I even knew existed within me.

The snake year demanded a stripping away of everything I thought I was.

I know I’m not the only one to have experienced this and we still have two full moons to close the cycle of the snake energy but I already have my sights set on a new way of living this year.

This year I choose joy, even when unbearable things happen. I choose to look for the light even if it’s faint. I choose to find hope, even when things seem hopeless. There’s space for you to make this choice too. All my love x

Today the world celebrates the 1 Jan and welcomes the New year of 2026.

If you like me are finding it hard to come up for air and feel unready for a new cycle just yet, this is normal.

The western Gregrorian calendar we use today was created by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 and is a solar calendar, meaning it does not align with the cycles of the moon but follows the sun.

Although we have gotten used to this calendar after thousands of years, it’s still an unnatural rhythm and at war with the cycle of the earth and our bodies.

Ancient people used the position of both the sun and moon to mark time, noting when the light shifted and following the seasons. It is little wonder that a forced mental approach to time does not work with the natural rhythms of nature and your body.

If you’re not feeling ready for setting new years goals just now honour that. We still have a full month of shedding and transforming ahead of us as we continue to work with the energy of the snake year before we welcome the year of the flame horse in February.

February is the true month that aligns with a new celestial cycle and brings fresh energy to work with.
