Today on the 1 Nov marks Beltane in the southern hemisphere.

Beltane is traditionally the first day of summer and also symbolizes the sacred union of the masculine and feminine, represented by the earth and sun or figures like the May King and May Queen.

This union is seen as the source of creation and abundance.

We all have both masculine and feminine energy within us and when we bring those energies into balance we become whole. It is through doing this that we can achieve divine union and have that mirrored back to us in the form of a divine partnership.

Today on 1 Nov we enter the 111 portal!

The meaning of the 1111 angel number is awakening, alignment, and new beginnings.

It’s a message from the universe to pay attention to your thoughts and intentions, as they are currently manifesting into your reality.

This is a time to embrace upcoming changes with a positive mindset, as they are leading to your highest potential.

Today also marks Beltane, a time when the wheel of the year is at the midway point between spring equinox and the summer solstice, the day traditionally known as the first day of summer!

Beltane honors the fertile energy of nature as life bursts forth in a display of growth and renewal. This includes not only physical fertility but also the nurturing of one's own ideas and potential.

If you look around yourself and don’t enjoy the fruits of your labour it’s a time to consider the seeds you are planting in your life. What old ways of being have you outgrown?

Happy Spring Equinox! The spring equinox symbolises rebirth, new beginnings, growth, and balance between the forces of light and dark. It marks a cosmic turning point where day and night are equal, providing a powerful energetic portal for setting intentions, aligning with nature's rhythms, and celebrating transformation.

Astronomically the equinox will occur at 4.19am on Tuesday 23 Sept! Embrace the expansive energy available right now for personal and spiritual growth.

As we leave behind the transformative period of the eclipse portal which ended on the 21 Sept there is a heightened time of change and transformation.

Sometimes the hardest thing is having no plan, no escape. It’s human to fear losing control, especially if you’ve known abuse. And yet, I invite you to let go of the illusion of control and surrender.

Letting go doesn’t mean giving up — it means letting go and letting God. Trust that the Divine holds a plan far greater than what we see.

We are still deep in the eclipse portal, a threshold between worlds — a chance to release the old and leap into a new reality. Normally, the two weeks between the lunar eclipse (7 Sept) and the solar eclipse (21 Sept) feel like a hallway. This time, it’s felt more like a panic room with no escape.

The solar eclipse on 21 Sept brings new beginnings, and the Spring Equinox on 23 Sept amplifies renewal, balance, and growth.

It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. At first, she grows too big to pass through the door, then shrinks too small to reach the key. Stuck, she finally surrenders, crying so much that her tears wash her through the keyhole into wonderland.

This week I hit rock bottom. I confided in a trusted friend and cried deeply. It was raw, but real. Authenticity matters most to me, even when it’s uncomfortable for others.

Remember — don’t put yourself on a pedestal or let others do it. ALL of us face struggles that nearly break us, no matter how strong we appear. Be discerning with whom you share, but don’t suffer alone.

Like a seed buried in darkness, the old me had to die so a new harvest could grow stronger than ever.

My beautiful artwork ‘Stars Align’ is on view at Serpentine Gallery in Lismore in the current Scarlett exhibition, bringing together local northern rivers artists exploring love and romance.

As a child I used to go past an incredible sight. In an empty field an abandoned chimney stood tall and popping out the chimney was a tree!

I marvelled at this tree. Due to no fault of it's own it had started out at the base of a deep pit and for years it had strived to reach the sun unaided. Not only did it have to get to the surface of the soil, but it had to travel another 5 metres through this narrow chimney before it could reach the light.

I could see myself in that little seed. I used to tell myself come what may I would stubbornly survive. I saw myself as a w**d, unloved but resilient.

I had a difficult childhood. At age 4 I was sexually abused by someone who was supposed to love and care for me. The environment that I survived in was one of neglect and so I needed to continue alone. The belief that I couldn’t receive help caused me to become bed bound for 10 years. In the end I had a death experience on life support and true to my stubborn nature I returned. I was not down with life yet. I came back to heal myself and others.

My strength enabled me to endure, but I now what helped me survive was causing pain.

If I see myself as a w**d, indestructible, always rising back up from whatever the world throws at me, there must be a set of circumstances that allow me to embody that energy. In this energy I am unable to relax, I must remain hyper vigilant to attack.

It is no longer enough to survive, I wish to thrive. I am no longer willing to live on crumbs. I want to be a rose, soft, fragrant, abundant, safe and cherished.

I went to a funeral recently. It was my own. I honoured the old version of me, the strong, resilient w**d I was that refused to be killed. I took time to thank her, because of all she has sacrificed, I now exist. She got me to a place of understanding that it is safe to lay down my sword and to believe I am worthy of peace and prosperity.

You deserve to thrive, not just survive.
