The Pathways Program recently hosted a 'Party for the Stars' to celebrate the end of the year with participants.

Participants, dressed as their favourite movie characters and celebrities, enjoyed a red-carpet experience with photographers and photo booths. Hyper the Clown energised the dance floor, while those seeking a break relaxed in a calm, low-sensory space near the famous hall of fame.

Participants and staff enjoyed a wonderful celebration together with delicious treats from the Cafe at Harry's Place. We are grateful to everyone who made it special and look forward to creating even more memorable moments when we gather again in 2026.

There are a few items still available to purchase from the Pathways Program cart, if you're searching for a last-minute gift or Christmas decoration!

Participants from our Pathways Nailed It (Woodworking), Textiles, and Media programs have put an incredible amount of effort into handcrafting these items. All sales will be reinvested into the programs in 2026, with participants working together to choose new equipment and resources. πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Happy International Day of People with Disability!

At Carpentaria, we are so grateful to support, work alongside, and learn from people with disability every single day. Here's to creating more accessible and inclusive communities, and opportunities for people with disability to shine. 🌟

A special shoutout to Alishia, Carpentaria Allied Health Assistant, who has been kicking goals recently. Alishia is a passionate health ambassador for Down Syndrome Australia, and she recently presented at Inclusion International's World Congress in Dubai. It's incredible to see Alishia's advocacy reaching international audiences, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our team!
