Beach-side therapy sessions, stunning coastal views, cute dogs... just another day in the life of our Remote Therapy Services team.

'I love to empower people to thrive and live a fulfilling life. Seeing a participant smile because of something I have helped with makes every day worthwhile.

When I see the joy on a participant’s face, or when they call me ‘sister’, I know I am doing something valuable. Small acts of support can make a big difference in confidence and connection.

I have learnt so much from the participants I support in the Pathways Program. Everyone is different and everyone has their own capability. I feel lucky to work and support people with a disability.'

– Alem, Skill Development Coach (Support Worker, Pathways Program)

Thank you to Yolanda from NT Health for supporting members of our Ready for Home and Therapy Services teams to deepen their understanding of Parkinson's Disease.

Ongoing training and regular upskilling enable our team members to deliver safe, appropriate, and person-centred support.

Yolanda's recent training sessions have equipped our Support Workers, Team Leaders, and Therapists with a greater understanding of the impacts of Parkinson's Disease. This knowledge prepares our team to provide active support that ensures community participation and a greater quality of life.

It was great to have Edward from Paywise in the Darwin office today, to chat to our team members about all things salary packaging.

Our employees are able to access generous not-for-profit salary packaging benefits through Paywise, helping to reduce their taxable income, and increase their take-home pay 💸

It won't be long now until our new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes are complete!

These newly built, expertly designed properties will support participants with complex disabilities to live comfortably and reach their potential.

We know how difficult it can be for people with complex disabilities and high support needs to find their perfect forever home. That's why these homes have been designed with direct input from participants and their families, ensuring the properties are safe, functional, and fit-for-purpose long-term, while still feeling like a home. 🏡

The Pathways Program raised over $2,000 through the 2025 Christmas Cart sales, a milestone made possible by the imagination, teamwork and dedication of all involved.

This success highlights the creative leadership and collaboration of our Nailed It, Media, and Textiles teams, as well as the person-centred support from Skill Development Coaches who recognised individual strengths and empowered participants in their creative pursuits.

Thank you to everyone who made this achievement possible, including the Cafe at Harry's Place and our generous community supporters.

Just a few of our wonderful team members 👋🏼 Can you believe there are over 500 employees across Carpentaria's Darwin and Alice Springs teams?

We are grateful to work alongside so many passionate, caring, and knowledgeable people who go to work every day with a shared goal: to ensure people with disability thrive and live a great life.

We couldn't achieve such great outcomes for participants without our people. 🤩

'I work in the disability sector because I really enjoy helping people to achieve their speech and language goals. Everyone is different. No matter how similar their needs or goals might be, their speech therapy sessions need to be tailored to suit them.

It is incredibly rewarding to work with children who come into a session feeling anxious or upset and watching them realise that it can be fun! Then, turning up the next time with a big smile on their face, and an eagerness to have a go.

Working at Carpentaria is very friendly and supportive, with a focus on supporting not only participants, but the therapists too. There is fun, energy, laughter and progress every day.'

– Donna, Speech Pathologist
