Happy December, happy summer everyone! (even though it’s not feeling very summery today 😅☀️💛)
Each season, I love making a list of glimmers, or little things to get excited about or notice more. I also like to make a list of things I want to make a point to do. Sometimes the weeks fly by so quickly that if I don’t make an active effort to get out there and do or see something new, I forget or get to the weekend and I’m too tired that I can’t be bothered.
Our favorite activity last summer was Saturday afternoons at the Tocumwal pool. I left my phone at home, grabbed a book, took dips when it got too hot, and always ended the afternoon with a Golden Gaytime. Perfection!
This weekend we got a Christmas tree and decorated for the first time in like 3 years and it’s got me feeling all festive! We’ve been talking about our favorite Christmas movies in classes today, so I put together a little list of my personal favs. It’s very American/winter Christmas focused since that’s what I grew up with!

How are you caring for yourself this time of year?? Often our movement practice is the first thing to go when life gets extra busy.
A little bit goes a long way. If you don’t have an hour for a class, can you go for a 10 minute walk outside? Can you do a 30 minute Zoom class before the rest of the day begins? Can you take 5 deep breaths in through nose out through mouth to start and end your day?
Movement might look different this time of year and that’s okay. Give yourself some grace and do what you can 💛

I’ve been lucky enough to teach quite a few community classes the last few weeks with lots of people either new to yoga or trying it again after many years.
And I kept hearing one of two things from people after class:
“Wow I really needed that” and “Why don’t I do this more?”
I know life can get busy and the days can melt into weeks, weeks into months. And all of the sudden we are here at the end of November 🤯😳
It’s never too late to come back to class. You’ll most likely feel much better after class for moving your body and taking time for yourself 💛 There is still time left this year and I’d love to see you!

Don’t give up on the year just yet ✨ 5 weeks is still a lot of time. Time to show up when you can. Time to start good habits and routines. Time to lay the foundation for a stronger, happier, healthier 2026 💫
Starting now will make getting back into routine in January that much easier 💪❤️‍🔥 2025 isn’t over yet, sometimes movement and taking a bit of time for yourself each week is the thing that keeps you sane during the silly season 😅🙌

Hi friends! There’s a few new people on here so I’d thought I’d say hello 🥰 My name is Angie and I’ve been teaching yoga for almost 10 years and Pilates for almost 4. I didn’t grow up being athletic or loving sports. I actually didn’t like exercise or fitness at all until I found yoga at around 25 during a really challenging time in my life. I loved how it made me feel. The energy and the good mood it left me with. I was hooked and soon after signed up for teacher training. The rest is history 💛
I am interested in movement in many different forms and making it accessible, sustainable, and fun for more people! I strongly believe movement is for everyone and it is one of the best things we can do for our bodies, minds, and future selves 🙌💪🤌
Outside of teaching, planning retreats, and my own movement practice I love reading. I’ve been a huge reader all my life and it’s something I try to do a at least a little bit every day. Recently I finished “Wild Dark Shore” and “Finding Grace” and loved both. Someone else please read so we can talk about them together 😅
I normally go to bed thinking about the coffee I’ll get to have in the morning. One of the highlights of my day 🙃
I am also a huge history nerd! My fav history podcast is “The Rest is History.” I love falling down a history rabbit hole. Earlier this year it was the French Revolution. This week I just finished a series on the Titanic and honestly it’s all I can think about!
I love a sweet treat! Which you probably know if you come to my classes, love to talk about food while planking or anytime really 😂

Finish strong, but make it soft 😌🫶💛 Love that mantra for the rest of the year. We put so much pressure on ourselves to be doing all the things all the time (myself included!). And that only feels more heightened at the end of the year.
What is one thing you can let go of?
Where can you create more ease or space for yourself?
How are you caring for yourself this time of year?
Don’t forget yourself in the busyness of the season. Sometimes I think movement is the only thing keeping me (somewhat) sane 😅🙃

3 years, 5 retreats, 2 different countries, over 50 incredible women, too many stories and laughs and memories to count 🥰✨💫
The resounding feedback from women who come on retreat is how much they needed this. How nice it was to not have to do the planning and organizing for once. How freeing it was to just show up and go with the flow and get to enjoy and be more present during the trip. How nourishing it was to be cooked for and cleaned for a chance. How empowering it was to connect back to their true selves and to have fun!
So much magic happens during retreat week. It truly is a gift to yourself that extends so much longer than 7 days.
If you want in on the magic next year, send me a DM, I would love to chat with you! Our Portugal Yoga & Nature Retreat is happening September 28-October 4 and I would love for you to be a part of it! At the stunning ☀️🐚
