Bear Moon Lodge

Our space will provide and facilitate spiritual + healing gatherings, drum circles, sharing wisdom, healing for humans and horses, workshops, metaphysical educational programs that I feel passionate about and have proven effective over many years of personal experience in the horse industry as well as the healing and spiritual arts industry. We look forward to other practitioners/educators/trainers/cultures utilising this space as well (aussie and international), sharing their arts, gifts and abilities to help those who seek to learn, heal and grow.

I have been working with and around horses for over 50 years since childhood, born as a natural healer, always healing, connecting to our horses, wild and domestic animals, raised on a large cattle property in central queensland, learning to live life on the land from my grandparents. Connection to nature, the spirit world, the earth and the animals were the only thing I loved to be doing until I had to go to school..hmmm :( ! Schooling, family members, society.. saw to it that my natural talents, skills, abilities and interests as a healer and very spiritually aware human being, were slowly but surely closed off and shut down. I was in my early 30’s before the right time came for me to open my consciousness again, when a Native American Medicine Man/Shaman came into my life, I spent 4 years training and learning from him, opening myself up again to my own innate self, my truth, my heart/mind/soul. 20+ years on, we are still working together and supporting each other when needed.

The Native American teachings sit strongly in my heart and soul, its where I feel at home, the most comfortable in this crazy world we live in. During all these years of self awakening and development on myself, helping others, helping horses and animals, my journey has revealed many teachers and mentors, healers, guides and friends, here in oz, overseas and in spiritworld.

I have studied many modalities along the way - Reiki Master, Bowen Therapy Practitioner, Australian Bush Flower Essence Practitioner, Crystal Therapies, Kinesiology, Shamanic Healing and practice. Further studies involving Nutritional Medicine, Herbal Remedies, Homeopathy, Angels/Guides, Spiritual Warrior, Music/Art Therapies, Iridology, Metaphysical studies are attained and always ongoing.

My horsework history includes many years working, training, living and studying in the horse industry, from Thoroughbreds, Standardbreds, Quarter Horses, Andalusions, Morgan Horses, Show Horses, Ponies of all kinds, and of course my own horses all the way along. Learning Natural Horsemanship with Quantum Savvy became a keen interest for me, as it always was what I practiced, but finding people like QS, Monty Roberts, Wyatt Webb, Pat Parelli, Michelle Dennis... was inspiring me to look into what I already knew and practiced. Thats where my horse ‘Honey’ stepped in, she inspired me to create the HorseTalkOz program. A holistic healing program for Horses and People. She gifted me the teachings as we journeyed through life together.. I had her for 26 years before it was her time to return to the other side camp -sadly. There have been many horses in my life, who have helped me develop the program. I thank all of them, past and present and even the future ones who will contribute new knowledge yet to come to it, for it is ever evolving.

Its truly been a lifelong journey of learning, healing, growth, love of horses and spirituality that has brought me to this point of seeing my dreams come true here at Bear Moon Lodge. A project and path which aims to assist myself, my horses, other horses and all others who seek the path of awakening to their true potential and passion in life - horses and humans alike. To find where we fit and our purpose here on earth is our greatest seeking.

A place of rehabilitation, peace, sacredness, a way of living in harmony with the planet and all others. A place of learning - doing my bit to restore balance and wholeness to all those who seek it. The planet needs us, we need us, as the planet raises her vibration higher, we all need to do our bit to raise our vibration and consciousness also, to be able to exist here. We are all connected, we are all one, lets step up and do it together. Its Time!

Bear Moon lodge is still in the infancy stage, as we have only moved here in February 2018. Donations are gratefully accepted and not just in the form of money, but time and effort, farming/building materials, horse needs, gardening, tree planting, food and garden growing...the list is endless.

The horses need our help and we need theirs, the benefits for all are huge. Exchange is a must, a universal law, so whichever way you wish to exchange, we can work it out. Thank you and the Bear Moon Lodge team of horses and I are looking forward to meeting you... there is Tonka, Dancer and Rosie, our geriatric team, then Bunny + Cash make up the young team so far. Honey, Sasha, Sweety + Pheonix (horses) and Basil (our recently departed furfriend doggy) are in spiritworld overseeing it all. There is Buddy and Satin (aka kittykat) our resident guardian cats,with their higher selves being an african lion and an american mountain lion! lol. There are endless teams of spirit helpers who oversee the whole picture and are looking forward to many gatherings ahead where they can help and share knowledge and healing too. Oh... almost forgot, the unpredictable unruly and ever challenging teenage almost adult daughter - Faith, who helps out when her mind is not on herself or the boyfriend. LOL! Whom I love with all my heart by the way!

Our website and other technical needs are slower happening than everything else, most likely 2020, as there is too much to get done here before that. So best method of contact is here on our fb page, my personal fb page or my mobile phone/txt. Please be patient in waiting for replies, I don’t have the phone connected to my hips, hands,bra or pockets - tends to get dropped too much if I do that :) .... I will get back to you IF and ‘only if ‘ you leave me a message or text. And I do not have internet on my phone either, so no use trying that avenue. :) :) Technically challenged - yep- too busy outdoors mostly!
