Zenthai Fusion

Zenthai Fusion Offering Zenthai Shiatsu Massage, Zenthai Immersion Yoga Workshops, Crystal Bowl Sound Healing, Private Yoga. My name is Nadine. It was time for change.

I am an intuitive healer, student of life, chocolate lover, yoga and health addict, music lover, pianist, a loving mum and five elements study geek that loves nothing more than to support and celebrate others. There are many twist and turns in my life that has shaped who I am. Growing up I was a pleaser and often felt like I was never enough. I was a high achiever with who practicing hours a day on the piano to complete a Bachelor of music. Another degree under the belt with a Bachelor of Education, followed by years of teaching where I over worked, over drank and over thought. I was sick of the turbulence on the surface and took a deep dive into the depths to unravel all that was holding me back from my true self. Meditation was my medicine. Yoga came into my world; the movements and shapes gave my held trauma a space to release. I thrived in healthy living. I took leave from my teaching profession and starting teaching yoga. After years of teaching yoga, I began studying Zenthai Shiatsu under Gwyn Williams, who showed me that touch was sacred. “When you touch one thing with awareness, you touch everything.”

Each twist and turn in my life, I am entirely grateful for. Overall, my freedom comes from discipline, discipline in my meditation rituals, yoga, healthy living, and gratitude for life. My purpose is to guide and support you on such a journey where you will discover, awaken, see and feel the joy and beauty that exist when you are your fullest self. Empowering you with the tools and therapy to bring freedom to both body and mind.

I can’t explain in words how different life is right now, but I will try….

In every experience there are +‘s and -‘s. Things we miss and things we are grateful for.

I have so much respect for teachers within government schools. The amount of love poured into the children and time beyond a nine to five job exudes anything I remember from ten years ago.

Covid hit Victoria very hard and it seems that the catch up to recover does not meet the pace i and many others can keep up with. The demands and expectations placed on schools from the suits who have never stepped foot in a school is crazy.

I am so grateful for the zenthai life I have been blessed to experience. They are a tool box of sweetness for myself and the amazing children I teach. Breathing together, coming together as a community, sharing in dance, music, laughter, creativity, tears, inquiry, movement, curiosity, honestly, oh yes and throw in some maths and English 😂 ….

The pace of life is fast but I, with many other teachers who I deeply admire and respect, do our best to hold on tight and remember the bigger picture…. The children we teach are our future and all we can do as a guide for them is teach them to show up as their fullest selves.

Thank you your teachings are golden and shine bright in my heart.

13 years with my fury friend. She will not know what hits her when she returns to her old home on the farm.

Taking a step back to move two steps forward. Moving on from what we know can make my tummy turn in all directions, but my life has never been set in concrete to one place. When many signs direct us in a direction, letting go of the grip, no matter how hard it is, we have the choice to flow with it. The current, I have no doubt, will change direction again! 🌊

Loving the creative play that movement offers. The asana is a moving mediation that allows freedom in the mind to come inward and freedom in the body to express outwardly. Yoga offers us knowledge of our internal world and tools for our external world. The space between movement and breaths brings us to stillness. How nice it is to sit still on this earth, even if it is only for just a moment.

Reflecting on my time with these two special people. At there mature golden years, with the little aches and pains that they have, which is rarely mentioned, I feel they have so much motivation and zest for life. They remind me to laugh more, see more and be still to see what’s really there.

So often we can be in a place but not really embody what’s around us. There is so much freedom in this.

You never know what someone is going through. Having an open heart, open hands and opened ears can be the biggest gift to someone.

Sometimes we may judge someone from a comment made by someone else. The comment may be from a perspective of theirs, captured from a moment of maybe someone’s bad day, or reaction.

Judging less from others stories, judging less from our own presumptions and being open and strong enough to let things go, to see beyond the surface may even make a new friend. 💙

Cupcakes (at the time 🙃) can make a young child’s life seem a whole lot brighter.

The love I feel for my daughter is bigger than any experienced love I have ever felt. Like many parents out there, there is nothing we wouldn’t do for our children.

The biggest gift that I know of, to be the best parent I can be, is to use all the tools of self discipline to show up as my best. Our best changes from day to day. But one thing I certainly know is that when I meditate, move my body and eat mindfully than I can show up, present and ready. My parenting skills with rituals for my own self preservation are much stronger and calmer than if I don’t.

Often what we see on social media or in person may not always be what is really going on in someone’s life.

We may see a post or a stranger and have an automatic judgement about them. However, everyone has things to move through and work on. This is why it is important to be kind, do our best not to pigeon hole and not take things personally.

Our bodies are so tuned in, that when we have signs of imbalance, we can either ignore or become irritated.

My first reaction when I have a twinge, is to try aggressively bend and stretch to move the stuck feeling, however often my body is needing gentle movement to unwind and slowly let go.

This is why I love holistic therapies and yoga.

When we want to be “fixed”, I feel this fixed goal is a little like setting an intention without flowing with the process.

There are multiple reasons why we may develop discomfort in the body. Ranging from tightness, weakness, instability, inflammation, stagnation, etc.

To maintain a health balance in our bodies is a fun and enjoyable process. A learning game of strengthening and softening, attention and relaxation, rewards and drive.

I love supporting people within this process. Its a nice feeling seeing people in their zone of peace and freedom. 🌸

My Story

My name is Nadine. I LOVE YOGA! Prior to teaching yoga I worked as a Primary School teacher for 12 years. I travelled to Byron Bay then Bali to complete my Purna Yoga Training with Byron Yoga Centre- a style of yoga that emphasizes asana (movement), pranayama (breath) and meditation. I have completed both Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Training with Byron Yoga centre. I have also completed a Certificate in Vinyasa Teaching with the Australian Yoga Academy. Yoga has provided the pathway and tools to overcome many challenges and to live a life of balance, good health, happiness and abundance. What began as a physical form of exercise has led me to make a strong connection with my inner self, (self-love and self- worth.) I bring a relatable and energetic approach to yoga, meditation, awareness and wellbeing. My style of teaching allows students to work with their own bodies in a safe and nurturing environment. Students’ leave my classes feeling energised and refreshed, creating more space throughout the body and mind for a happy and healthy life.

My yearning for more learning of anatomy, subtle energies and healing lead me to become a Zenthai Shiatsu Therapist. This movement based therapy is an effective structural and energetic form of therapy. Zenthai Shiatsu is based on the Traditional Energetic systems of Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage and the remediation techniques of Osteopathy. This work allows me to work one on one with people where I create a safe space for the natural process of healing to take place.

This is movement based therapy with a reputation of effective dealing with issues of the musculo-skeletal, digestive and nervous system. I hope to get to know and share my love of yoga and Zen Thai Shiatsu with you. Namaste Nadine SOHUM COMMUNITY YOGA
