We all know that sleep is important for newborn babies (and their parents!) Join our FREE 'Sleep from birth to 4 months' webinar, led by an experienced Child and Family Health nurse, to hear more about newborn sleeps habits, waking during the night and tips, hints and information about sleep in those early months of having a new baby, including the chance to ask questions at the end.
When we expanded to North Adelaide, we think you'll agree our name became a bit of a mouthful! We are pleased to announce our new trading name: Prosper Paediatrics.
We think this name best reflects our longstanding ethos, culture and aims - fitting beautifully with our existing tree branding as well.
Prosper Paediatrics captures our objective to support clinicians to help children and their families to grow healthier, happier and thrive.
It also reflects the big impacts that high quality paediatric care can have on the rest of a baby, child or adolescent's life. We support this by fostering long-term patient clinician relationships in a supportive environment.
You'll see our branding change gradually over the next month, but our contact details remain the same for the moment. Everything else about the practice stays the same!

The WCH Virtual Urgent Care Service is a great, free option if you need some urgent medical advice about your childβs health but arenβt sure if you need to go to the emergency department.
Our Child and Adolescent Virtual Urgent Care Service is now open longer - 7 days a week from 9:30am until 8:30pm for families across South Australia.
A visit to the Emergency Department can be daunting for children and their parents and this service allows children who are well enough to avoid hospital and receive expert advice virtually, no matter where they are.
Since the service began in August 2021, more than 1300 patients have benefited from the service with less than 7% of those needing to come to hospital for follow up care.
Does your child with autism have trouble falling or staying asleep?
Researchers at Flinders University are seeking children aged 7-12 years on the autism spectrum with co-occurring sleep problems to participate in a study. This study evaluates a brief non-pharmacological intervention to improve your child's sleep. Participation will involve a telephone screening interview, completing questionnaires, monitoring your child's sleep with sleep diaries, and attending 3 individual therapy sessions, which will be conducted over the internet via telehealth.
There is no cost to participate in the program. If you would like to receive more information about the study via email, or to arrange a time to complete the screening interview, please contact Dr Michelle Short at sleep.autism@flinders.edu.au.
This project has been approved by Flinders University's Human Research Ethics Committee (Project ID 4038) and Autism SA's Professional Practice Committee.
