✨ “Can we turn towards the unpleasant sensation as it shows up in the body and just be with the flow of sensation until it dissolves?” – Carol Perry
To me, this is the essence of Yoga — the ability to move toward the things the mind resists, and simply be with whatever arises, pleasant or unpleasant.
Without labelling, judging, or trying to change it — just experiencing it as pure sensation in the body.
When we let go of the stories of the mind — the constant assessing, judging, grasping, and resisting — something shifts. Even painful emotional states can transform into something almost curious, a rich array of sensory experiences.
This, for me, is the most beautiful aspect of Yoga: the ability to abide in the body, to detach from the stories of the mind, and allow the body to be as it is. With awareness, gentle breath, relaxation, grounding, and centring — everything can begin to soften and change. 🌿
