🏍️ Proud Sponsors | Jimmy – 2025 Motocross Season 🏁

We’re proud to sponsor Jimmy again for his 2025 motocross season, supporting him for the second year running.

Jimmy had an amazing year, achieving many of the goals he set himself before a crash unfortunately cut his season short. Even with the last five months off and multiple club days missed, Jimmy still finished the year with some awesome results a true credit to his grit and determination.

🔥 Highlights from the season:

Rum City Motocross Club
• Sitting 2nd overall – 65cc 10–12yrs
• Sitting 2nd overall – 85cc 9–12yrs
• Finished 7th overall – 65cc 10–12yrs
• Finished 10th overall – 85cc 9–12yrs
• Podiums:
– 65cc: 1x 🥇, 2x 🥉
– 85cc: 1x 🥈, 2x 4th
(Missing 3 club days)

Hervey Bay Motocross Club
• Sitting 3rd overall – 65cc 9–12yrs
• Finished 9th overall – 65cc 10–12yrs
• Finished 9th overall – 85cc 9–12yrs
(Missing 3 club days due to injury)

Sunshine State Motocross Series
• Qualified 10th in the final round of the QLD Titles – 85cc 9–12yrs before the crash

As Jimmy now moves up from the 65cc and into the 85cc 12–16yrs class, he’s fired up, focused, and ready to chase some big goals next season.

We are incredibly proud to share that MNK Support Services sponsored Makaiya as part of the Southwest QLD EMUS Fiji Tour 2025 🏉🌺

Makaiya and her team came home as WINNERS – Girls Rugby League Fiji 2025, an incredible achievement and a moment she will carry with her for life.

This tour is about so much more than rugby league. It provided an amazing opportunity for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes to grow through sport, cultural exchange, connection, and life experience.

At MNK, we believe strongly in investing in young people their confidence, their culture, and their future. Supporting Makaiya on this journey aligns closely with our values of community, inclusion, and creating opportunities where young people can thrive.

Tia and Andrew recently spent an evening at the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols in Brisbane, and it was truly such a beautiful experience. The whole event had that warm, festive feeling that only Brisbane at Christmas time can create - glowing lights, families everywhere, and that unmistakable buzz of excitement in the air. ✨

We found a comfy spot, settled in, and enjoyed the incredible lineup of performers who filled the night with classic carols and Christmas favourites. Hearing thousands of voices sing together under the Brisbane sky was honestly one of the most heart-warming parts of the night. 🎶❤️

The atmosphere was everything - relaxed, joyful, and overflowing with Christmas spirit. From the decorations to the shared laughs to the quiet moments simply taking it all in, the evening reminded us how special it is to pause and enjoy the season with someone you care about.

We walked away feeling grateful, festive, and fully in the Christmas mood. 🎄🌟

Such a great day out for Julie! ✨
Julie and her support worker enjoyed an amazing outing exploring the stunning insect exhibit held here in Toowoomba at the Cobb & Co Museum. They took their time wandering through each display, admiring the incredible colours, textures and fascinating details of the insects on show. After that, they made their way into the interactive science room, where Julie loved getting hands-on with the different activities and learning more about the world around her.

The day finished perfectly with a much-needed coffee and lunch at the café, giving Julie a chance to relax, reflect and chat about everything she discovered. Julie continues to show such strength, determination and enthusiasm as she works toward her personal goals, and experiences like today’s big exhibition play such an important role in building her confidence and connection within the community. 🦋☕️💛✨

🚗✨ Cruising Into Calm with Deakon ✨🌿

Recently, during his respite stay, Deakon took the opportunity to proudly show off his car collection while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing evening. Even while away from home, he maintained his nightly routines, ensuring consistency and comfort alongside some well-deserved fun.

Respite care is such an important part of supporting participants, their families, and support teams. It provides a safe environment outside the home where individuals can recharge, explore their interests, and enjoy meaningful independence. For Deakon, that meant car conversations, downtime, and the freedom to simply be himself - all while keeping the structure that helps him feel secure.

These intentional breaks support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and resilience - essential ingredients for living life to the fullest.

🌍✨ A Dream Come True for Alex! ✨🌍

We are incredibly proud of Alex for taking a massive leap toward accomplishing her 2025 goal! After months of planning, organisation and personal growth, she took those final courageous steps down the tunnel and boarded her flight with strength and determination.

With a tear in our eyes, we watched her take off on a journey she’s dreamt of for so long - travelling all the way to the UK to visit her family. This has been a long-lived dream for Alex, and we are deeply honoured to have been part of her journey in making it a reality.

The mental preparation, patience and resilience through her anxiety has truly paid off, as she has now safely landed in London for a very well-deserved Christmas break. 🎄✈️

Alex, we are going to miss you so much over this Christmas period, but we cannot wait to see you in 2026 Your courage inspires us all. Here’s to new beginnings, lifelong memories and the power of believing in yourself. 🩵

There’s something so powerful about stepping outside the everyday routine and letting the sunshine guide your day.

Being out in nature - feeling the breeze, hearing the birds, touching the earth - has a way of grounding us, refreshing our minds, and reminding us of the simple joys around us. 🌞

And when you get to share those moments with your support workers, something even more special happens. You’re not just enjoying the outdoors… you’re building trust, confidence, and genuine connection. These shared experiences create space for growth, independence, and a deeper sense of wellbeing.

A big shout-out to Daniel and his support worker Helen for embracing the sunshine, breaking routine, and making the most of their time outdoors together.
