Today is International Women’s Day, and I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible women who make up the heart of MNK Support Services.

These women show up every day with compassion, patience, strength and resilience. They care for people in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and they do it with dignity, kindness and heart.

The work is not always easy. It can be emotional, challenging and demanding. But time and time again, I watch these women step up with grace and genuine care for the people they support.

I am so proud of the team we have built. Women supporting women, lifting each other up, and making a real difference in the lives of others.

To all the incredible women at MNK, thank you for the care, the laughter, the dedication and the heart you bring into this work every single day.

You are truly valued, appreciated, and seen.

Sometimes it really is the little things that make the biggest difference in our days ☀️💛

Yesterday, Susie and Georgie enjoyed a beautiful coffee together at Wilsonton Bakery ☕️🥐 There’s something so special about getting out into the community, sharing a laugh, soaking up the atmosphere and simply enjoying each other’s company. It wasn’t just about the coffee (although it was delicious! 😍), it was about connection, conversation and creating meaningful moments together.

These small outings bring so much joy and remind us how important it is to slow down and appreciate the simple pleasures in life 🌸✨ We are so proud to support moments like these that build independence, confidence and happiness 💕

Julie had a fantastic day out with her beautiful support worker Nicole, enjoying a fun-filled outing at Sunset Super Bowl in Toowoomba 🎳✨ Julie made the most of the day by catching up with friends, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying a great game of bowling. Days like this are a wonderful opportunity to build connections, get out into the community, and create lasting memories.

With the heat well and truly here, Andrew has been making the most of the warmer weather by enjoying a refreshing cool-down at his local pool ☀️😎 Spending time in the water is a great way to beat the heat while staying active, relaxed, and having plenty of fun. Getting out into the community and enjoying familiar local spaces is always a highlight, and this summer outing was no exception. Lots of smiles, positive energy, and the perfect way to enjoy a hot day ☀️🏊‍♂️

Night 1 at the Warrnambool Sprint Cars Classic and what an unforgettable night it was!
From the roar of the engines to the buzzing atmosphere, Deakon took it all in and loved every single second. His smile said it all as he soaked up the excitement, met so many new faces, and made some wonderful new friends along the way.

Watching him feel so comfortable, included, and genuinely happy in such a big environment was incredibly special. Nights like these are a beautiful reminder of how powerful experiences, community, and shared moments can be. We’re already counting down to the next one 🏁✨

Deakon and his fantastic team of supports kicked off the weekend with a grocery shop 🛒 before heading home to cook up a storm in the kitchen 🍳🔥

Deakon enjoyed a fun-filled weekend packed with creativity and new experiences — from painting and getting creative 🎨🖌️ to building confidence in the kitchen 👨‍🍳✨. The excitement didn’t stop there, with a couple of action-packed nights spent at the Toowoomba Speedway 🏁🏎️

At MNK, we strive to support our clients to flourish, learn new skills, and work towards their own independence 🌱💪 Watching Deakon put his skills into action and take pride in what he has learned has been incredibly rewarding.
