Hi Magenta Fam, Happy Thursday! 💗 Some of our Toowoomba Team were overjoyed to attended the Lions Club of Toowoomba West Inc launch of the Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland for 2025 this morning! 🎄🎅 Since 2008 the Lions Club have helped raised $1.6 million for local organisations Lifeline Darling Downs, the Toowoomba Hospice and Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and provided so much joy to so many families for only a gold coin donation! 😇 We're so happy to be a sponsor again this year and support such an iconic community event, please stay tuned to our socials for details of our Christmas Angel Photo Competition & Magenta Sponsors Night! 😎 Volunteers for the Christmas Wonderland are needed, so if you can please lend a hand to set up or pack up, that would be wonderful! 🙏

🎉 Big News for Our Home Care Clients! 🎉

From today, the Home Care Packages Program will be replaced by the Support at Home (SAH) program – a key part of Australia’s aged-care reforms.

What this means for you (and why it’s a positive change):

If you’re already receiving a Home Care Package services with us, you don’t need to do anything; we will move you into Support at Home Program. Your care will continue under the new system.

The new program offers greater flexibility: access to allied health, assistive technology and home modifications, and supports designed to help you stay at home longer.

The contributions you pay are reviewed, and if you were approved before 12 Sept 2024, you’ll be no worse off.

What you should do now:

Keep an eye out for correspondence from us (or from My Aged Care) about your transition.
We’ll review your care plan with you, feel free to ask any questions about how your services will be delivered under SAH.

If your needs change, or you’d like to explore assistive technology or home modifications, keep us informed.

If you’re not yet receiving a package but approved for one, or you’re thinking about starting this kind of support, now may be a good time to talk to us about the new system.

With more tailored funding, upgraded supports and clearer pathways, our goal is to make sure you stay at home and connected to your community for as long as you choose.

A change of date for our Gladstone Fam, the Night Club Experience at Mieplace Niteclub for participants and their support workers will now be held on Saturday 6th December 4.30pm to 7.30pm!! 🕺🪩💃🎼🎤

Hi Magenta Fam, Happy Monday! 🥰

We just wanted to give a huge shout out to our incredible Mama Jodie, who completed 30km of the All Night Long Walk on Saturday, having to retire for the last 12kms due to a hip injury. 💗

We know you're feeling disappointed that you had to retire Mama J, but you are incredible and did an amazing job, your immediate family and your Magenta family are all so proud of you! 😍

You managed to raise $823 for sick kids smashing your goal of $500! 🥳🥳🥳

Thank you for repping Magenta hard and for raising much needed funds and awareness for sick kids in Queensland! 🫶

Sorry you haven't heard much from us this week, it's been a busy one! 💗

There's only 9 Fridays until Christmas Day! 🎅

We're in preparation mode for end of year procedures, sponsorships and events, plus our amazing Leadership Team have connected this week in Brisbane, we hope they've had a blast! 😎

Tomorrow our beautiful Mama Jodie will walk 42km for the All Night Long Walk to raise funds for sicks kids in Queensland and for the Ronald McDonald Foundation and Royal Children's Hospital Foundation. 🫶

Our lovely Support Worker Vonda and beautiful participant Carol-Ann visited Boyne Island Beach recently and they both had a blast! 🌊☀️

Carol-Ann said she was keen to go back to the beach and she told Vonda next time they need to take their swimmers! 🏊‍♀️🩱

We hope you had lots of fun at the beach Carol-Ann and got to see lots of sea creatures! 🦀🐳🐠🐬🐟🦈
