Hi Magenta Fam, Happy Wednesday! ๐
Please meet Carla, one of our amazing new Support Coordinators based in Toowoomba! ๐ฅฐ
As a NDIS Support Coordinator, Carla supports participants to understand their plans, build capacity and connect with services that reflect their needs, culture, and goals. ๐
Carlaโs favourite Magenta value is, 'we are part of our local community,' she says, โI believe that when people feel connected, supported and understood, they gain a sense of safety, belonging and opportunity. In my work, I focus on helping people feel supported not just by services, but by the culture, relationships and networks that surround them. Community is where confidence grows, where people find their voice, and where real change becomes possible. This value reflects how I show up every day โ in my work and in my life โ with a commitment to connection, respect and genuine care." โบ๏ธ
Carla has over 20 years of experience across diverse industries and has worked throughout the Darling Downs and Southwest Queensland regions. She holds an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management, alongside a range of sector relevant certifications. She says, โI am deeply committed to culturally safe practice and strong, ethical advocacy, working respectfully with vulnerable people, multicultural communities and people living in rural and remote areas.โ ๐ฉโ๐พ๐งโ๐พ
When sheโs not working, Carla says, โI enjoy spending time outdoors, especially kayaking and exploring the natural beauty of regional Queensland. Iโm an active community volunteer and can often be found at local markets, supporting small businesses and soaking up the relaxed, social atmosphere.โ ๐ถโ๏ธ๐
