π Big News for Our Home Care Clients! π
From today, the Home Care Packages Program will be replaced by the Support at Home (SAH) program β a key part of Australiaβs aged-care reforms.
What this means for you (and why itβs a positive change):
If youβre already receiving a Home Care Package services with us, you donβt need to do anything; we will move you into Support at Home Program. Your care will continue under the new system.
The new program offers greater flexibility: access to allied health, assistive technology and home modifications, and supports designed to help you stay at home longer.
The contributions you pay are reviewed, and if you were approved before 12 Sept 2024, youβll be no worse off.
What you should do now:
Keep an eye out for correspondence from us (or from My Aged Care) about your transition.
Weβll review your care plan with you, feel free to ask any questions about how your services will be delivered under SAH.
If your needs change, or youβd like to explore assistive technology or home modifications, keep us informed.
If youβre not yet receiving a package but approved for one, or youβre thinking about starting this kind of support, now may be a good time to talk to us about the new system.
