Breakaway Toowoomba is excited to welcome Tim Connolly as our guest presenter at the upcoming Community of Practice (COP) on 11 February 2026.

🎙️ About Tim

Tim is the Director of Darling Downs Therapy Services and a highly respected Developmental Educator with 20 years of experience supporting people with disabilities across direct support, management, and clinical roles. His primary focus is Behaviour Support for adults with Intellectual Disability.

He holds a Master of Disability Policy and Practice and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), along with further qualifications in management, training, and disability work. Tim brings extensive experience across government, non‑government, private sectors, higher education, and research — particularly within Positive Behaviour Support frameworks.

We’re thrilled to have Tim joining us to share his knowledge and insights with our community.

We’re proud to be supporting the YellowBridge QLD Yellow Bucket Appeal this year. Each year, Yellow Bridge QLD give buckets of Christmas joy to local families in need. If you would like to contribute some Christmas goodies, you can drop off to our office at 61 North St, Toowoomba, weekdays between 9am and 1pm until Thursday 3rd December, or to YellowBridge QLD at 879 Ruthven St or 46 Hill St, weekdays until Wednesday 10th December.

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending the 11th Business Disability Awards of Australia Toowoomba & Darling Downs Gala Dinner. The night was a wonderful celebration of inclusion across our region, and Michael Crossland delivered a keynote speech that was deeply personal, heartfelt and truly inspiring.
We were very proud to again sponsor the Outstanding Employee Award, which went to a very deserving hard-working member of our community. Congratulations Harry Sargent!

Nice morning for a walk! It was great to be part of the 40 for Fortey at the Toowoomba Showgrounds this morning. The 4km Remembrance Walk was enough for us today, but maybe we should put together a team for the 40km relay next year 🤔 Who’s keen?!

Exciting announcement! As of today Kym is handing over as director of DDTS to Tim Connolly. Thanks to everyone (clients, family, DDTS team) for helping the business be the success it has been over the past 5 1/2 years and we look forward to having Tim at the helm to take us forward into our next chapter. Kym will be continuing with her client work as a contractor to the company. Thanks Kym and congratulations Tim!
