“I read Friend of a Friend twice. The first time, I wanted to know my friend Jesus better. I also wanted to know my friends better and gather a few more of them. Then someone mentioned that the book made him smile. So I read it again and smiled my way through it. Talking about friends will do that.”
Ed Welch, Psychologist and faculty member of the Christian Counselling Foundation.

If you have tasted the sweetness of Christ’s visit and live in the light of His sunrise, then you have a greater work to do than John.

WELCOME TO THE PROJECT CHURCH A Vibrant Community of Believers
The Project began when Peter and Angela Sondergeld sensed God’s call to plant a church at Toowoomba Christian College. They went about testing the call and soon realised it was clearly something God wanted them to do.
The church started out with three leaders – Peter, Difff Crowther and Nathan Gilmour – and had its first Sunday meeting on July 24, 2011.
At first the mission was simply to make disciples for Jesus, but over the years God has grown and matured the vision to one which calls us to be a vibrant community of disciples, where discipleship means being restored to true humanity (which is another way of talking about sanctification, or growing into the likeness of Christ – the true human).
The Project is invested in the community of Toowoomba Christian College, providing pastoral care, hoping to capture the hearts of school families, students and staff with the good news of the Gospel.
While The Project still feels like one big family, the congregation continues to grow steadily, God has brought more leaders into the fold and made a way for connections both nationally and internationally.
We stand in awe of a God who would use a small church in Highfields to make a difference. God seems to have big plans for this humble church and we are all just trying to walk in obedience and hang in for the ride.
