MASTERS EVENT THIS SUNDAY AT O'QUINN OVAL (corner of O'Quinn and Fifth Ave, Toowoomba)
Toowoomba Masters Athletics
This is for the legends who are 30+ years old (male and females). Normally the events are run in Brisbane. First time it's nice and close.
I'll be neck deep in a 2 day lawn bowls event. Tryna win some $$. With kind scheduling, I'll be at the next one.
If you're feeling like this isn't for you, it is. I have plenty of patients asking about how to get involved and how to train for these events.
HOT TIP: You can 100% give the shot put a crack and stand start for the 60m. This is just bare minimum. It will give you the confidence that you can do this. Literally, warm up and do your best.
You might get to race against our Dr Sheila Cook from Toowoomba Endocrine & Diabetes. With The Reich Method she ranks 3rd in the world for 60m. This is a big deal. World ranking... She came to my Run Club 8 months after a knee reconstruction. One year later, that world ranking was hers!

THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN: You go and get a qualified (electronic) time or distance and I can work with you on improving that and staying injury free. Try as many events as you can.

๐ What time should I arrive?
Please be there by 8:45am for a briefing and 9am start.
๐ What should I wear?
No need for fancy gear! Just wear your regular exercise clothes, and donโt forget a hat, sunscreen, and water bottle.
