Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd

Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd We offer a broad range of services focused on strengthening communities and empowering people. For Our Values: Integrity. Dignity. Openness. Honesty.

Lifeline Toowoomba, as it was originally known, was formed by a group of ministers in 1975. It was developed to establish a 24 hour telephone counselling service for the people of Toowoomba. Lifeline Darling Downs & South West Queensland Ltd (LDDSWQL) is now a company limited by guarantee, governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. A large regional NGO (non government organisation), with 160 plus paid staff, over 400 dedicated volunteers, an annual turnover exceeding $12M per annum and covering an extensive area with a population of approximately 255,000 people, LDDSWQL is committed to sustainable growth that works within the parameters of its Vision, Mission and Values. We partner with the wider community, working from a strengths based approach. That is, working with people in order to empower them to make the best possible decisions in their own life, and for their own community. A values based organisation, it remains committed to ensuring people always remain its focus. LDDSWQL relies on financial support from local communities, corporate sponsors and the Queensland State and Federal Governments. You can help support the services LDDSWQL provides by making donations through our clothing bins, shopping with our wide network of retail shops, making a cash donation or through in-kind support such as through volunteering. Accountability. Respect

We’re proud to once again be supported by Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland, an event that brings our region together in the most meaningful way.

At Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd, we work every day to strengthen community connection, support mental wellbeing, and ensure that no one faces their challenges alone. ❤️

Thanks to the incredible generosity of locals, last year’s Christmas Wonderland helped raise $86,300. This contribution made a real difference — not only to us, but to fellow beneficiaries including the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, Toowoomba Hospice, and community groups such as SES Toowoomba, Darling Downs Girl Guides and the Toowoomba Historical Society Inc.

We’re excited to be part of this year’s celebration and look forward to another season of community spirit, kindness and giving. ✨

🎄 Wonderful News – the Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland has officially launched!

We’re so proud to once again be a part of this beloved community tradition, hosted by the Lions Club of Toowoomba West Inc in partnership with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, Toowoomba Hospice, and Lifeline Darling Downs & South West QLD Ltd.

Now in its 23rd year, this incredible event has raised more than $1.6 million to support local charities that care for those doing it tough across our region. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors, partners, volunteers, councillors, media, and community members who joined in this morning’s celebrations — and to Mayor Geoff McDonald for his kind words.

The countdown is officially on — the gates open in just one month, and we can’t wait to see the community come together once again to celebrate the spirit of giving. 💜

💔 A heartbreaking sight this morning at our Anzac Avenue store.
Our team arrived to find a truckload of rubbish dumped outside, not donations, but waste that our staff and volunteers now have to clean up.

We’re so grateful for the incredible generosity of our community. Your donations help us support those in need every day.
But please, be mindful when donating.
✅ Use the bins provided.
✅ If it’s not something you’d give to a friend, it’s not a donation.

Dumping rubbish not only costs us time and money, it takes away from the good work our community achieves together.

Let’s keep our donation areas clean and respectful.

It’s easy to get caught up in everything going around us and forget to check in with ourselves.
Pause for a moment and ask yourself: What do I need right now?

Maybe it’s rest, a chat with someone you trust, or just a quiet moment to breathe.

Whatever it is, give yourself permission to take it.

If you or someone you know needs support, please call Lifeline anytime on 13 11 14, or on 1300 991 443 or visit www.lifeline.org.au for our online chat service or for resources to self-manage what you’re going through. All our crisis support services are available 24/7.
