Our Thoughts Are with the Bondi Community 💙
Toronto Private Hospital extends our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the tragic events in Bondi. We recognise the pain, fear, and grief felt by the community, including the first responders—police, paramedics, healthcare workers, and others who acted with courage to protect and care for others.
Incidents like this can affect people in many ways. You may feel shock, sadness, anger, numbness, or confusion. These responses are normal, and there is no “right” way to feel.
Supporting Your Wellbeing:
▪️ Limit media exposure: Avoid repeated exposure to distressing images or videos.
▪️ Allow your emotions: It’s okay to feel however you are feeling.
▪️ Stay connected: Reach out to friends, family, or colleagues for support.
▪️ Maintain routines: Simple routines and self-care can help manage stress.
▪️ Seek professional support: Early support is important if distress is overwhelming.
If you are feeling distressed or overwhelmed, we’re here to support you. Contact us on 1800 311 470 | toronto.mentalhealthintake@aurorahealth.com.au
