Steph joins us at Toronto Health every Wednesday and Friday to provide pelvic floor physiotherapy as part of the Caitlin Daley Physio team. 💪

She’s all about helping women feel strong, confident, and supported. Whether it’s postpartum recovery, abdominal separation, caesarean scar treatment, urinary incontinence, or returning to exercise.

With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and specialised training in Female Pelvic Health, Steph brings both expertise and genuine care to every client she works with. ✨

Steph believes an active life is a happy one and is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients to support them on their journey to better health and wellbeing.

Tendinopathies are more common than you might think. It can affect athletes, active individuals, or anyone who places repetitive stress on their tendons. The most common areas? Your ankle, knee, elbow, and shoulder.

⚡ Meet Sam Larkings - Accredited Exercise Physiologist ⚡

Sam is passionate about using exercise as medicine, whether that’s helping someone rebuild confidence in daily life, guiding rehab after injury, or pushing an athlete to peak performance. With a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), he’s all about improving longevity, health, and wellness through sustainable movement.

What Sam loves most? 👉 Seeing clients hit their goals, unlocking their full potential, and knowing he’s making a lasting impact on their quality of life.

He works with a wide range of people from strength & conditioning clients to those in stroke and neurological rehabilitation (and everything in between).

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Sam with his family or coaching youth and JDL football/soccer ⚽.

Part 2 - Why Might I Have Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?

Pelvic floor dysfunction is more common than you think:
1 in 3 people over 15 experience incontinence in Australia (Continence Foundation Aus). Women are 2x more likely to be affected.

Risk factors include:
Obesity
Constipation
Diabetes
Age
Pregnancy & vaginal birth
Chronic respiratory disease

Some of these are modifiable risk factors like diet, exercise, constipation, and diabetes - meaning there’s plenty we can do to help manage or reduce risk.

🔥 Meet Sam Blacksmith – aka Big Dawg 🔥

Sam is our Principal Physiotherapist and General Manager here at Toronto Health. With over 12 years of experience in musculoskeletal care, he’s the go-to guy for everything from sports injuries and spinal pain to helping athletes and everyday legends perform at their best.

What Sam loves most about his job? 👉 The variety of people he gets to work with and helping them smash their goals.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him drumming, strength training, golfing, gaming, wrestling with his kids, or out on the water. Basically, if it’s fun and diverse, Sam’s in!

🌟 Meet Adam Rippon - Physiotherapist 🌟

Adam’s physio journey is a little different - after working as a remedial massage therapist for over 10 years, a trip to India in 2018 to study yoga inspired him to dive deeper into the human body and movement, leading him to physiotherapy. 🙌

He’s since gone on to complete his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), McKenzie training, advanced dry needling, and yoga teacher training in both Australia and India.

What Adam loves most? 👉 The uniqueness of every person’s rehab journey and the chance to help people feel and move better.

Outside the clinic you’ll find him surfing, doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, making music, or out in nature with his partner Clare and their dog Junee. He’s also preparing to become a first-time dad! 👶💙

💡 Fun fact: Adam can move his hair, ears, and eyebrows at the same time. (We’ll let him show you next time you see him 😉)
