Outer elbow pain and inner elbow pain are two of the most common tendon injuries we see in clinic.

Despite the names, you don’t have to play tennis or golf to develop them.
These injuries usually come from repetitive gripping, lifting or wrist movement, which overloads the forearm tendons over time.

The good news?
With the right physiotherapy plan, most people can recover well and return to the activities they love.

If elbow pain is limiting your training, work, or sport, we can help!

Is it really your shoulder that hurts? 🤔

A lot of people assume shoulder pain means a shoulder injury… but that’s not always the case.

The nerves that supply your shoulder and arm actually come from your neck. When those nerves become irritated, the pain can refer into the shoulder, even if the shoulder itself isn’t the real problem.

This is why some people experience shoulder pain that:
• keeps coming back
• doesn’t improve with rest or massage
• doesn’t respond to shoulder exercises

The key is a proper assessment that looks at the shoulder, neck and upper back together.
At Toronto Health, we focus on identifying the true source of your pain so treatment targets the right area.

If shoulder pain has been lingering longer than it should, it might be time to look beyond the shoulder.

Not all shoulder pain is the same!

There are many structures in the shoulder that can become painful or injured, including:
• Rotator cuff tendons
• Shoulder joint structures
• AC joint
• Surrounding muscles

Conditions like:
• Rotator cuff tears or strains
• Frozen shoulder
• Shoulder impingement
• Arthritis
• Muscle tension and spasm
can all cause shoulder pain.

But sometimes the cause ISN'T in the shoulder at all.
Pain can also be referred from the neck or upper back, which is why a proper assessment is important.

At Toronto Health we look at the whole picture so treatment targets the true cause of your pain.
If shoulder pain is affecting your sleep, training or work:

Stiff, achy joints as the weather changes? It might be more than “just getting older.”

Osteoarthritis is common, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with constant pain or reduced mobility. The right combination of targeted exercise, education, and hands-on treatment can significantly improve how your joints feel and function.

At Toronto Health, we focus on conservative, evidence-based management to help you move better, stay active, and protect your joints long-term.

👉 If osteoarthritis is limiting your daily life, now is the time to take action.

Lower back pain and sciatica are not the same thing 👀
Here’s a simple way to tell the difference 👇

• Lower back pain: usually stays local, can feel stiff or achy
• Sciatica: pain, tingling, or numbness that travels down the leg

Why this matters 👇
Different causes = different treatment.
Treating “everything like sciatica” (or ignoring it altogether) often delays recovery.

Booking a physio appointment shouldn’t feel intimidating!

If you’ve ever avoided physio because you were worried you’d be told to stop training, rushed through an appointment, or handed generic exercises, you’re not alone.

At Toronto Health, our approach is simple:
• We listen
• We assess properly
• We modify, not shut things down
• We give you a clear plan forward

Physio isn’t about “fixing” you in one session.
It’s about understanding what’s going on and building confidence in your body again.
If you’ve been putting it off, this is your sign. Book an initial physio assessment online or DM us “PHYSIO” and we’ll help you get started! ’sHealth

Not all back pain needs treatment.
But some absolutely does.

Here are 5 signs it’s time to get assessed 👇
• Numbness or tingling
• Night pain or strong morning stiffness
• Recurrent flare-ups
• Pain lasting longer than 1 week
• Pain disrupting work, training, or sport

If you’re ticking boxes here, it’s not about “pushing through”.
Early assessment = clearer answers + faster progress.

If you tick 1 or more of these boxes, book an initial physio appointment and let’s get ahead of it. Mention the code ‘BACKPAIN20’ in your booking comments to receive $20 off your first appointment!
