Today we used the Japanese process of Kintsugi - kintsugi is similar to the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect. Japanese aesthetics values marks of wear from the use of an object. Kintsugi highlights the repair of ceramics with gold to celebration the value of the cracks.

Creative, therapeutic and Expressive Activities facilitated each session

Including a warmup activity and longer Creative art expressive task and Confidential relaxed group dynamics

A capacity building support for improved daily living through Group therapy in a gentle art making environment to develop emotional and personal expression and foster creative activity for Mental Health NDIS participants

This group is ideal for clients experiencing challenges with mental health who can engage independently and is not at this time ideal for clients with high support needs

Maximum of 8 people

For NDIS participants - Cost Between $193 and $42 (depending on class size) per session

5-week block commitment

Michelle Buggy is an Art Therapist with PACFA registration and 8 years’ experience running Art Therapy in patient and outpatient programs for individuals with a range of Mental health issues from a psychiatrist hospital. Michelle has also been involved in community projects and creative conversation classes for the past 22 years
