Out group language is talking directly to the closing off of empathetic circuitry in the brain. Creating less capable communication for children as well as adults. This is why the mental health and academic potential of children and adolescents en-masse is deteriorating.

Out-group language was found to be the strongest predictor of engagement on social media. As big tech’s engagement maximizing algorithms are incentivized to share divisive content, tech platforms drive and undermine our . Profiting off engagement maximization means profiting off division. These harms should not be considered a “cost of business,” but rather a signal for change. Instead of designing technology that polarizes, we need to design technology that unites.

Under immense pressure to prioritize engagement and growth, technology platforms have created a race for human attention that’s unleashed detrimental harms to society. To reshape the future of our technology, we must hold platforms accountable for the costs that aren't showing up on their balance sheets.

Concerns and fears about artificial intelligence (A.I.) have been expressed by researchers, experts, the general public, and some very influential and powerful voices. Many of these are valid concerns. It begs the follow-up question: what kind of communication has taken place?

While A.I. has the potential to bring about numerous significant societal benefits, it is important to acknowledge and address these fears and communicate to ensure the public that A.I. is being developed and deployed responsibly and ethically.

A.I. government and public relations need to involve a strategic and collaborative approach to ensure that both AI companies and governments can work together to promote innovation, economic growth, and social progress. This is not something that individual companies can or should attempt to take on themselves, as an internal function. Below are some fears specific to A.I., and tools in the government relations toolbox to help clients.

The main fears which need to be addressed are:

1. Job displacement, widespread unemployment, and economic disruption.

2. Bias and discrimination.

3. Loss of privacy and security for individuals and organizations.

4. Autonomous weapons with the potential for catastrophic outcomes.

5. Existential risk to humanity.

Glomani Consulting, LLC will help:

1. Regulatory compliance.

2. Funding and grants.

3. Collaboration, partnerships, and stakeholder management.
