Congratulations to our Treasurer Brian Keane on being awarded the Order of Australia medal. Brian’s professional financial oversight of our not-for-profit Village is invaluable. Santa came along to our Christmas party this year, bringing a chocolate treat for all the Village People who have been good. A big thank you to our volunteer Committee members, including Torquay Lions Club, who give generously of their time and expertise in making our Village the happiest place to be.

It’s official! Our Village Manager Jenny is one of the best! She recently achieved 1000 points in professional development at the DCM Institute Village Manager Professional Development Program, recognition of her dedication to learning from the best, for the benefit of our community.

Why are our people so happy? It’s the little things, like gardens filled with plants chosen by the residents. Brian has his favourite Slim Dusty rose blooming in his front garden and that makes him smile every day. We love it 💖

A great time was had by residents on a trip to see the Archibald Prize exhibition at the this week. Thank you to for the community bus subsidy that helped get us there.

Fantastic to review our year’s work at the AGM yesterday. Always good to catch up with Honorary Members Peter and Brian, and show off the results of their work in founding the Village in 1999.
