In July, 80 of our patients took part in our Practice Accreditation and Improvement Survey and we are so grateful to each of you for sharing your experiences.

We’re proud to share that Women’s Health Torquay received 98% of responses rated good, very good or excellent.

This feedback means so much to our team, as we work every day to provide safe, supportive and high-quality care.

We also want you to know we’ve heard your feedback about waiting times in the clinic. Sometimes appointments do run over, but we’re taking active steps to improve this.

Moving forward, our staff will do their best to contact you if your practitioner is running behind - to help minimise waiting and keep you informed.

Thank you for trusting us with your care, we’re always striving to do better, together.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

At Women’s Health Torquay, we’re here to support women at every stage of their health journey and that includes raising awareness about breast cancer.

While it can occur at any age, risk increases as we get older. The good news is that early detection and advances in treatment have greatly improved outcomes.

A few important reminders:
* Get to know the normal look and feel of your breasts, and see your GP if you notice any changes.
* Regular mammograms are recommended every two years for women aged 50–74, and can be arranged earlier if needed.
* Staying active, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol can all help lower risk.

Our GPs can support you with breast checks, screening referrals, risk assessments, and ongoing care.
You don’t have to face it alone, we’re here with you every step of the way.
