5 years 🎉 Hi there! Haven’t posted for a while.. but we thought GORC’s 5th birthday was worth a drop in. We are here for you, and we appreciate you. The support for our small family business by this community has been incredible. What we offer is centred around a personalised and reliable service to help our community to live a healthier and happier life.. and the feedback is that you love it, so we’ll keep going 🙌🏼 Feeling very grateful to show up to a full appointment book this week after a special family holiday. CHRISTMAS AVAILABILITY 🎅🏽 We hope the Christmas spirit and excitement is hitting you and your loved ones like it is us and ours. There is just a few times left (sorry - no new patient times available, standard appointment times only) before our last day on Tuesday 20/12. We will be closed for longer than usual this year, and reopening to our regular availability from Tuesday 17/1/23 - So get in quick! Messages and emails will be checked during the few weeks we’re closed, so do reach out if you need. 🌀

PAIN and SYMPTOMS are super important. They’re often the reason people initially come to see us. Your car engine light is a great analogy for a symptom. If you’re in pain or suffering from some type of symptomatology, our priority is to get you feeling better. At the same time, it’s important for us to consider what symptoms are - a signal that something isn’t right (light your engine warning light). So, whilst it’s important to seek pain resolution, it’s equally important to figure out what is happening with the body. Is there an underlying/unresolved injury? Is a degenerative or arthritic process involved? Is imaging required? Is chiropractic the best option for you - or is referral appropriate?. Whatever the case, your symptoms shouldn’t be dismissed or covered up and forgotten about. Your body is too smart to be ignored. After all, you wouldn’t cover the engine warning light and hope that your car would continue to run well 🚙🌀

From the only email list I subscribe to this week. It‘s understandable that people become overwhelmed with what to do about their pain, posture and health. Social media, mainstream media and an over-abundance of “experts” leave us with SO many options that we suffer decision fatigue and paralysis - and instead of moving toward better health we get stuck in the same behaviours that got us into trouble in the first place. Research, and diligently choosing a path, are important.. but it’s taking ACTION that moves us in any direction. Consider that it takes time, action and consistency for any healthy change to yield a result. If you’re stuck or confused about your spinal health, posture or movement - we keep it simple, and we’re here to help 🙌🏼🌀

As well as being last week, it was also . We’ve noticed lots of our patients are back into running after they rekindled their love for it during gym and sport lockdowns during 2020 and 2021! If you’re thinking of dusting off the sneakers and heading out, remember steady progression and loading is the key - for distance and intensity! And if you’re needing new gear, have a great range and provide can helpful advice to get you decked out correctly 🏃🏻‍♂️Daniel’s boys clocked a full oval lap to celebrate (we had to wait a while for little Artie at the end 😂) 🌀
