We all know how much we love a good Crafternoon here, and what better time than spring to let nature inspire our creativity!

Residents spent the afternoon painting bright, floral-inspired artworks, using the colours and beauty of the season as their muse. There were smiles, shared ideas, a few giggles… and even a helpful little four-legged friend supervising the process! 🐾💐

🚗✨ Western District Historic Car Club Visits Ocean Mist! ✨🚗

Ocean Mist was lucky enough to host the Western District Historic Car Club, and what an incredible day it was! Residents were treated to a stunning display of beautifully restored vintage cars - from polished classics to show-stopping favourites.

There were smiles all around as everyone admired the craftsmanship, shared stories, and even posed for a few photos with these timeless beauties. Some of our residents got up close to their old favourites, while others enjoyed a moment sitting behind the wheel of the iconic red Corvette!

A heartfelt thank you to the club for bringing so much joy, nostalgia, and excitement to our day. We can’t wait to welcome you back again! 💛

We recently recognised Inventors Day, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the amazing contributions inventors have made throughout history. This day encourages us to believe in our ideas, stay curious, and honour not only the well-known creators but also the many forgotten inventors whose work still shapes our daily lives.

Inventors Day also celebrates the freedom to create - whether you’re dreaming up something on your own or teaming up with others. At Ocean Mist, we love embracing creativity and encouraging those sparks of imagination.

💙 International Men’s Day at Ocean Mist 💙

Yesterday we celebrated International Men’s Day with a relaxed and meaningful afternoon together. Our residents enjoyed a long, tasty lunch, plenty of conversation, and—of course—one of our most loved activities: arts and crafts.

It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect, and acknowledge the amazing men in our Ocean Mist community.

We were delighted to welcome Sergeant Hayley from the Torquay Police Station to Ocean Mist recently. She shared a little about herself, her role, and what inspires her to show up day after day to support and protect our community.

Her passion, dedication, and genuine care shone through, and our residents loved the chance to connect, ask questions, and hear firsthand what life is like in local policing.
