It is with great excitement but also with the wonderful feelings of reflection that we can announce that Dr Courtnay Wood will be moving on to her next chapter!

We will be in contact with those of you with upcoming appointments with her to arrange an alternative practitioner. 🌊

Our Principal Osteopath, Dr Casey Beaumont has advised that she can open some spaces for patients too. 🥳 she has greatly enjoyed connecting with our broader patient community 🫶🏻

Dr Mel Pierlot is also available for appointments 🦋 And has been seeing a few of you these past months.

It’s high time we re-introduced our Resilient Health team!

Last but not least is our (not so regular) Chiropractor! Dr Stewart Ward!

A little bit about him…

He’s been in practice for over 14 years now!

He works at our clinic and another one!!

He has supported masters competitions and sports events as a Chiropractor!

In clinic Stewart has a special interest in concussion testing and management, rehabilitation (pretty much anything!) and is recently enjoying supporting golfers!!

He can dry needle, has a diploma in myotherapy (the university version of massage), and can do adjustments with his hands or the activator. His toolset is VERY FLEXIBLE!

This is a team favourite - especially using a rolled up towel tucked into bed. Just make sure your towel sits at the base of your neck and that your head is supported by your pillow.

BREATHE deeply.

Relax your jaw.

Breathe all the way into your toes and out the top of your head.

🌈To protect your neck and get the most out of this one:
✔️Laying on a roller - make sure to keep your head on the roller too
✔️Laying on a towel - prop your head on a cushion

Minutes!
🌈A minimum of five is great to calm down your nervous system!

It’s high time we re-introduced our Resilient Health team!

Our Osteopath! Dr Mel Pierlot!

A little bit about her…

She’s been in practice for over 6 years now!

She has TWO jobs! She works hard in the clinic and sees her patients AND she also educates Health Professionals and high school students about pelvic pain.

In clinic Mel enjoys working with patients on their rehabilitation goals, her approach to Osteopathy and person-centred care stems from her values for a balanced lifestyle - work, sport/exercise and fun. She values putting time into life experiences and empathises with those who wish to do the same but are hindered by their pain.

She has done extra learning in pain science and pain education. Mel likes to address all aspects of her patient’s health by providing a balance of manual therapy, dry needling, exercise rehabilitation, ergonomic and wellness advice. Mel also ensures that her patients leave the consultation room feeling fully equipped and empowered to lead a healthy, happy lifestyle.

It can be so tricky to decide what suits you best. Pillows are a very personal thing.

Best thing to do is to choose one based on how you sleep - 😴

Side sleepers - need a higher side to take up the space between your shoulder and neck.

Back sleepers - want to ensure that your neck can lengthen and not be too chin tucked

Tummy sleepers.. we will discuss with you in person (you all sleep so differently!!)

We are an allied health clinic where many different kinds of practitioners are able to work as a team to offer the highest quality health care to people of all ages for all sort of health concerns.
