Diabetes affects millions of people worldwide, however with early detection and the right care, it can be managed effectively. This World Diabetes Day, we’re raising awareness about the importance of recognising the signs and taking action early.

Common symptoms to look out for include:
✔ Increased thirst and frequent urination
✔ Unexplained weight loss
✔ Constant tiredness or fatigue
✔ Blurred vision
✔ Slow-healing cuts or frequent infections

If you notice any of these symptoms, book an appointment with your GP. Early diagnosis and proper management are key to preventing complications and maintaining long-term health.

Cranbrook Medical facilitates the Defeat Diabetes Program for our patients and community with type 2 Diabetes. The program is an online program which tailored for people with diabetes. To further support the online program Cranbrook Medical offers the Defeat Diabetes Clinic for education and a personalised approach to managing diabetes in addition to regular support and monitoring.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection can save lives. Regular self-checks, clinical breast exams, and mammograms are vital tools in spotting changes early. Knowing your body and staying vigilant can make a real difference.

This month, let’s take time to prioritise health, support the women around us and raise awareness about the importance of early detection. Whether it’s booking a screening, talking to a GP, or sharing information with friends and family, every action counts.

💗 Together, we can empower women, spread knowledge and make a positive impact in the fight against breast cancer.
