🥰 30 years of Yoga!

I remember when people would say “Yoga is for flexible people.”
Still today people will comment that “they can’t do yoga.”

What has changed is that most people know that yoga is not a religion and this practice is beneficial even if they haven’t felt a need to explore why.

There is a well known saying ~ “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
I can certainly relate to this when offered yoga many times while living and working in New York City in the 90’s.

I was a young fitness trainer and aquatics program director for a rapidly expanding chain of health clubs. That was 30 years ago! Yoga was offered to me again and again before I was ready to truly dive in.

It was timing, the teacher and style of yoga that met my needs one specific morning and that had me coming back for more!

As the years and life chapters changed, I became ready to dive into deeper layers of yoga through pranayama (breath work), meditation, yoga psychology & philosophy.

I’ve been teaching yoga in Townsville since 2006 and excited to be sharing some Saturday afternoon workshops for locals interested in exploring what I love most about yoga.
