Disrupting the norm. Dyslexia Screening now available for young people and adults!

We know how important it is to have the ability to access an assessment at any age. We also know that getting a diagnosis as a child is pivotal to our success. Yet many children go undiagnosed missing out on vital interventions to help them thrive as they progress into adulthood.

Our research with La Trobe University demonstrates many children are falling through the gaps due to a lack of available services and the extremely high costs of accessing an assessment. We know that over 58% of Australians are not diagnosed until adulthood, while many remain undiagnosed without any support and understanding of themselves and why they might struggle. This is not good enough!

Dyscover created by Dystech is an Australian-made platform that assesses fluency, accuracy, and the likelihood of dyslexia. Using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, Dyscover combines 2 hours’ worth of traditional reading assessment into an easy-to-administer, 5-minute test that provides educators with immediate and objective results at scale.

Dyscover has introduced the concept of dynamic norming, which is a world first at this scale and means that every Dyscover assessment directly improves the norms and accuracy of
the platform for every other user. Their dynamic norms utilise voice recognition technology, requiring only a device with a microphone and internet access to complete an assessment.
