This photo will always be one of my favourites. A beautiful memory of a day surrounded by the love and warmth of a family gathering. A gentle reminder of what was, what is and what will be. A journey of shared unconditional love, horrific heartache and deep loss, magical moments and a lifetime of beautiful memories. A reminder that we are not here for long so what we do with this life, matters. We focus so much on our pain and suffering, wounds inflicted upon us that are not even our fault yet we give it so much energy and we let it control our lives. That’s not living our best life. We need to heal what broke us, heal what controls us. We can let it make us or break us. Don’t ever settle for less, always ask for more. Don’t just be mediocre, be your best. Be quiet, be still, feel more, then talk. Build on your dreams as action will always speak louder than words. A gentle reminder that life is short so pick your battles wisely, choose your hard, choose love over fear, love over pain because at the end of the day, being happy and living your best life is what will matter the most.

No, they don’t. But I will. It’s fu***ng hard. And, it’s brutal and it’s yuk, it’s dark and depressing. Sometimes, we do not know how to navigate our way back. The mind won’t shut down, pain and trauma consuming every thought.

The only way to move it out, is to go within. Sit with the feelings, allow the emotions to come up so they can be free.
There is no shame in feeling what you’re feeling. There is no shame in crying out your pain, your grief or your sadness. In fact, it should be encouraged and welcomed and we should hold space for those we love and care about, to be their vulnerable selves. For only then can the world start to heal, one beautiful soul at a time 💜🦋💫

The important thing now is you accept yourself for who you are, there is no need to hide behind a mask of uncertainty and insecurity. On the surface you may well appear to be happy go lucky but you doubt your own abilities. Those who you choose to share your life with, whether it is friends or lovers, they love you for who you are. It is only you who feels that you have to adopt a different personality to fit in and be accepted.
