Unless you are engaging in heavy manual work or 90 min plus of physical exercise, you may want to consider your carbohydrate consumption. Not all ramifications hit you like a sledgehammer, these consequences can be a slow burn.

If training for any longer event from 5km to 100km, always focus on the duration rather than intensity. Most runners will improve simply by just running without any intensity.

Only when you have exhausted your aerobic capacity or stalled then do you change the stimulus.

"The only way to get maximum absorption of the training is to train at a comfortable level. It comes down to gradual adaptation of the body to the stresses to come. If you try for the 'crash through' program, there can only be one result: You will crash!" - Pat Clohessy

Is your running making you mentally unwell?

Running a marathon, training for an endurance activity ( anything more than 2 minutes)?
Without getting bogged down in details and I'm going against the 20 something year old personal trainer at the gym who flogs his or her clients day in and day out to look important, to much intensity is bad for your mental health.
Remember all the best endurance athletes in the world, regardless of the sport are completing 90% of their training at an easy conversational pace.
So that middle ground training feels good but actually should be avoided most of the time. Therefore if you are training everyday, you only need one or two hard sessions a week.
Remember to much stress is not a good thing and results in mental burnout, fatigue and a general lack of motivation. Training hard ( lots of intensity) is a stress.
