I’ve been quietly working on something that sits underneath every retreat I’ve ever created. Over the years, I’ve realised that what makes a retreat truly land isn’t just the location, the inclusions, or the schedule… it’s what sits beneath it all. The parts you don’t always see, but you always feel.

Often I see people think ‘I can run a retreat’ and they think it’s easy. But it’s not.

It’s like having a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle throwing all the pieces up in the air, and then having to put them into areas to pull all the pieces together to make a whole. And even if one piece is misaligned or out of place or lost the bigger picture won’t work.

What I’ve discovered is all these pieces fit into nine layers and you can’t have one without the other
