Follow The Yoga Hub

We’re continuing our teacher introductions and today we’d love to introduce Kellie.

Kellie is one of our yoga teachers here at The Yoga Hub and has been part of the studio for some time now. She previously had her own studio in Cairns and brings that wonderful experience and knowledge with her to our community here in Mount Isa.

With her background in movement and body awareness, Kellie’s classes support people to move well and feel better in themselves.

You can join Kellie for:
Tuesday 6:30–7:45pm (Yoga)
Thursday 6:30–7:30pm (Yin)
Sunday 10:00am (Yoga)

We love having Kellie teaching at The Yoga Hub and value all that she brings to the studio and our community.

This week I will be focusing on different breath work techniques that will be presented in my upcoming speaker presentation at the Systems Leadership conference in Melbourne in May.

Focus this week is Ujjayi Breath work.

Ujjayi breathing is commonly used in yoga asana practice to link breath with movement, but it can also be practiced on its own to cultivate calm, focus and inner resilience. The gentle resistance in the throat slows the breath, increases oxygen intake and supports the nervous system, making it especially helpful during times of stress, anxiety or fatigue.
