A little reminder for myself this week as I transition into solo days with the kids ✨

Postpartum mental health challenges aren’t a personal failure, they’re a symptom of the systemic failures of modern society to truly care for mothers and protect the family unit.

We are under immense physical strain. We are under supported. We are isolated. And we just have to carry on…that’s a deadly combination. And we wonder why maternal su***de is the leading cause of death in postpartum women.

So in order to avoid being a statistic and to work on changing what I can, I’m here to remind you (and myself) that there are some small ways to care for yourself and nurture your mental wellbeing, even in the throes of postpartum.

Taking to time to prioritise yourself as much as possible is the only way to survive.

Yes the kids need you, but you do too 🤍

Motherhood doesn’t ask us to arrive ready.
Instead, it invites us to grow.
To expand.

Every challenge, every stretch beyond your current capacity becomes an invitation.

An initiation.

To a new version of yourself that is stronger and steadier than the last.

Motherhood may never look exactly how you thought it would.

But be certain in knowing that you have the capacity for it.

For you are a Mother.

Postpartum depletion isn’t rare. In fact, it’s more common than not, with anywhere from 50-75% of mothers experiencing it.

This is exactly why planning for postpartum matters. To plan ahead to make this season as easy as possible, with the supports you have available to you.

I’m running a small postpartum planning pilot for pregnant mums who want to think about support, rest and the early weeks before they’re depleted.

Comment PILOT if you’d like join our February cohort and I’ll send you the link 🤍 Doors close Feb 1st.

ATTENTION PREGNANT MAMAS: New Postpartum Program launching Feb 2026 - Save Your Spot Now 💛

We spend so much time and energy preparing for labour and birth that we ignore the part that comes after...but preparing for the postpartum period is arguably more important.

It's planning ahead for those lonely nights with a crying baby where you question everything you're doing...The long days where even having a shower feels impossible, let alone a warm, nourishing meal.

Actually taking the time to prepare for postpartum means you'll go into the greatest change you'll ever experience feeling confident, organised and prepared.

I’ve put together a program for pregnant mamas to actually plan for the weeks after baby arrives - rest, food, sleep, logistics - all the things that usually fall on you when you’re already exhausted.

It’s practical. It’s realistic. And it’s designed to stop new mums from feeling like an afterthought in those early weeks and months. It will also be a chance to connect with other local mamas and build community.

This will be an initial pilot launch at a heavily discounted rate in exchange for feedback to help shape the program and make sure that it provides genuine value.

🌻Pilot price: $40
✨6 weekly online sessions
📚Planning resources and Q+A included

Motherhood through the Western lens is seen as a distraction from more important work, fooling us into thinking that our role isn’t critically important to society. That being ”just a mum” is not enough.

But what if everything you were taught about motherhood was wrong?

What if postpartum care centered rest, nourishment and community instead of independence and resilience at all costs?

What if we actually invested our time and energy into building the support systems we yearn so badly for?

What if we reclaimed the space and support needed to slow down and enjoy motherhood, rather than simply wishing it away?

What if the Supermum archetype who can do and have it all is an idealised fiction designed to make us feel like we aren’t doing enough or strong enough?

Mothers don’t need to be stronger — they need to be supported so they can flourish 🤍

Planning your postpartum through this lens can help you slow down and really cherish motherhood and your postpartum experiences. I’m putting together a pilot program that will walk you through step by step how to plan your postpartum in a way that values motherhood and rejects the idea that you aren’t doing enough.
