Heads up coasties!!

GOSFORD PRIVATE MATERNITY SERVICES TO CLOSE | Private hospital operator Health Care has made the difficult decision to cease maternity services at Gosford Private Hospital at the end of March 2025.

The decision is a culmination of declining birth rates, decreasing demand for private maternity services on the Central Coast, increasing cost of living pressures, and challenges with private health insurance funding for private hospitals.

*** If you are looking for someone to help you make well informed decisions and have a familiar face in your birth suite then I am your girl. I have a range of packages and can tailor them to suit your growing family. Investing in a doula is suprisingly financially affordable in many cases (alot less then birthing in a private hospital 😉) ***

Hi all,

Please, Let me introduce myself,
I am Georgia - owner of The Bump And Beyond Doula, a 27 year old Doula based on the Central Coast of NSW Australia (but do service Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter regions aswell).

From about age 7 I was always the child in the group that would 'mother' the other children, I've always been super maternal and dreamed of being a doula as long as I can remember. I have supported many women during their journeys and have always had excellent reviews of my work.

I am fully accredited and hold my certificate 4 in Doula Services which includes Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum care, Working with children check, police/criminal history check.
I have a 4 year old Daughter and an incredible partner who supports me immensely in my deep passion for helping other women who are unsure about how they can labour or handle post partum emotions and adjusting to everyday living with a newborn.

Whether this is your first pregnancy, or your 6th, GREAT doulas are so highly sought after, so if you have ever thought about having a doula for either your pregnancy, birth or post natally I encourage you to send me a message or email to talk about your options.
I stand extremely firm on advocacy for woman during their journey, judgement free, respectful and am a wealth of knowledge during Birthing and Postpartum.
