Looking forward to seeing the amazing talent tomorrow at the All Abilities High School Gala Day held and run by Sydney Wanderers! ⚽️✨

We’re genuinely honoured to be part of this event — the Wanderers continue to prove they’re not just a football club, but a community club with a massive heart. ❤️

Every time we are alongside them, it reminds us why we love being involved. They show up, they support, and they truly put people first.

Now… if you’ll excuse us… we’re heading back to sorting out the giveaway bags for tomorrow.

Who knew packing bags could feel like preparing for the Olympics? 😂🎒
But trust us — it’s all worth it!

See you all there! 🙌🔥

What a great day out with Scott and the
Western Sydney Wanderers team! 🙌⚽️

We were lucky enough to watch the boys train and even share a feed with them afterwards — such an awesome experience.

Truly a club that puts its community first. The passion, professionalism they show is unmatched.

Thank you for having us, had a great day and meet some amazing people.

Let’s go Wanderers! 🔴⚫️

A huge thank you to ShiftCare for inviting us to the ShiftCare Connect 2025 event.

What an incredible day — packed with insights, innovation, and real solutions that will make a difference for providers and the people we support.

We’re genuinely excited to start implementing the new updates and changes within ShiftCare. The platform keeps getting better and better, and it’s clear the team truly listens to providers.

I’m also extremely grateful for being selected to sit on the panel alongside other amazing providers who are doing outstanding things in this sector. It was an honour to share the stage and contribute to meaningful conversation about the future of support services.

For anyone in this sector who isn’t using ShiftCare — you really need to reach out and book a demo. In my opinion, they are the leaders in this space… and trust me, I’ve researched nearly all of the systems out there.

If you want a platform that is automated, works for you, supports your business growth, and comes with genuinely friendly and responsive customer support — ShiftCare is the one.

What does support look like for you?

At Elite Care NSW, support is more than a service — it’s a partnership built on respect, independence, and genuine connection.

For us, support means involving participants in their daily living so they feel confident and in control. Whether we’re helping them cook, guiding them through routines, or building new skills, we always encourage them to take the lead wherever possible. Every moment is an opportunity for growth, independence, and pride.

Support also means being out and about in the community, helping participants stay connected to the people, places, and experiences that matter most. From attending their favourite events, enjoying local activities, or simply getting fresh air and exploring, we make sure each person feels included, supported, and engaged.

We work with participants of all ages, each with their own unique goals and personalities — yet our mission remains the same: to provide personalised, respectful, and empowering support that helps every individual live life to the fullest.

Above all, support at Elite Care NSW is about creating a positive, caring, and safe environment. We listen, we encourage, and we stand beside each participant with compassion and purpose.

I’m over it. And what about you?

In the NDIS sector, most providers, coordinators, support workers, therapists and stakeholders are doing the right thing — showing up every day with integrity, compassion and a genuine commitment to improving lives.

But unfortunately, a small minority continue to damage the reputation of the entire sector.

We’ve all seen it:

• Fraud and deliberate misuse of funds

• Providers taking advantage of vulnerable participants

• Gatekeeping information that should be shared

• Businesses opening with no experience — just an ABN and off they go

And just yesterday, I read reports of providers offering incentives for participants to join them, including cash, drugs and vouchers. Completely unacceptable. 😞 😡

Some might not agree, but being registered means you are held to a higher standard — you are more accountable for your actions, your practices, and the safety of every participant you support. Accountability is not a burden; it’s a responsibility we should all welcome.

The NDIS was built to support participants. To empower them. To connect them with people and services that genuinely enhance their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

When providers/stakeholders withhold information, mislead workers, or put profit ahead of people, the participant is the one who pays the price.

This sector needs meaningful reform — not to make life harder for good providers/ stakeholders, but to protect the people we are all here to serve. I truly believe every provider/stakeholder should be registered, accountable, and have at least 12 months of real experience before starting a business. I’m all for people building something of their own, but it must be for the right reasons.

At the end of the day, we are here for one purpose: to support participants to live safer, happier, more fulfilled lives. Everything else is noise.

What do you think?

Does stronger reform and greater accountability need to be a priority in our sector?

At our SIL home, we’re privileged to witness something truly special every day.

The two gentlemen living in the home couldn’t be more different in personality—one calm and reserved, the other lively and full of energy. Yet despite their differences, they’ve built an incredible connection. They respect one another, support each other, and bring a real sense of harmony into the home.

What makes it even more meaningful is how independent they both love to be. They enjoy spending time out in the garden together, collecting lemons, and taking pride in the space they live in. Shared meals have become a highlight of their routine—simple moments that create comfort, stability, and a sense of belonging.

This is what quality SIL supports should look like: thoughtful participant matching, genuine connection, and empowering people to live as independently and joyfully as possible.

✨ How important do you think it is for participants to get along when sharing a home?

This is what happens when I have those sleepless nights! 🤔 😴

More providers are now offering all services under one company—support workers, support coordination, plan management, allied health, and more. For some, this feels convenient and “all-in-one” for participants.

But it also raises real questions about quality, focus, and conflict of interest.
If the same organisation is coordinating supports, delivering the supports, and recommending further services, is the advice truly independent? And can any provider realistically excel in every area without stretching themselves thin?

At Elite Care NSW, we intentionally focus on what we do best:
Providing exceptional disability and aged-care support, delivered by a team that shows up consistently and puts people first.

We’d rather specialise and deliver excellence than offer every service and risk losing what makes our care personal and meaningful.

So I’d love to hear your thoughts:
Is it better for providers to offer everything under one roof, or do you believe participants benefit more when each provider focuses on their area of expertise?

If anyone knows our story, we had employed another person for this role; however, they had one agenda: to try to steal our participants and database. This person had inside help from some of our support workers. Thank god it was an epic failure for them.

It took a lot from Lisa & me to trust someone in this role, with sensitive information. The great news is that they failed, and unfortunately, they are now working for another company.

On a positive note, WOW —so glad Amanda entered our lives, someone who is here for the team and participants. And is fantastic and has been a rock for Lisa & I. ❤️ - "Thank You 🙏

Introducing - Amanda ⭐

Care & Compliance Manager

Hi, I’m Amanda – Care and Compliance Coordinator at Elite Care Central Coast. I’ve been in aged care and disability support for 17 years, working in everything from team leader to supervisor roles, and now helping to keep all the moving parts of care and compliance running smoothly. Some people say I’ve basically grown up in this sector, which might explain why I drink so much coffee. 🤣 and maybe a sneaky champagne after hours.... 😁

The truth is, it doesn’t feel like work when you genuinely love what you do. I’m passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, especially in the disability sector. Supporting people to live the life they want, breaking down barriers, and being part of those “lightbulb” moments is what keeps me showing up every day with a smile (and, let’s be honest, probably a sarcastic comment or two).

I also specialise in dementia care and mental health, areas that are close to my heart. For me, it’s about more than just support – it’s about building trust, creating connections, and making sure people feel seen and heard. And if we can add a bit of laughter into the mix? Even better.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of three daughters, which means most of my weekends are spent at netball games – sometimes cheering, sometimes freezing on the sidelines, always running on snacks. When I’m not at a court, I’m happiest spending time with my family, catching up with friends, or meeting new people (preferably over coffee – are you sensing a theme yet?).

I love good banter, I love people, and I love being part of a team that really cares. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about: making a difference, having a laugh, and remembering that care is as much about heart as it is about compliance.
