Hi everyone! We all know that living on the Cassowary Coast is the best, but the FNQ sun can be a bit of a tough customer.

I’m Dr Row, and I’m helping locals stay on top of their skin health with professional skin cancer checks at Mission Medical and Tully Medical Centre. Think of it like a quick "yearly service" for your skin. It only takes 15-30 minutes, gives you total peace of mind, and keeps you doing what you love outdoors without the worry.

No stress, no lectures, just a professional look-over to make sure you're good to go.

After nearly 18 years with our practice, we will be saying goodbye this week to our wonderful Maria Crema. 💙

Maria has been a truly valued and much-loved part of our admin team for almost two decades — bringing incredible energy, a constant smiling face, and a warm welcome to everyone who walked through our doors. She has played a vital role in keeping the practice running smoothly behind the scenes, and her kindness and dedication have meant so much to patients, staff and myself over the years.

Maria is now taking an exciting step to focus on growing her own business, and we couldn’t be happier for her as she embarks on this new chapter. While she will be greatly missed day to day, we’re hoping that this is very much a “see you later” rather than a goodbye.

Thank you to our amazing staff who make our clinic what it is, and to every patient who has supported us with your visits and encouragement. We’re also truly appreciative of the support we’ve received from the PHN, Department of Health, and Cassowary Coast Regional Council. We couldn’t have done it without you!

At Tully Medical Centre and Mission Medical, we will continue to privately bill most consultations to ensure we can:
🩺 Spend time listening and providing thorough care
👩‍⚕️ Offer continuity with doctors who know you
🏡 Remain locally owned and support our community

We understand cost-of-living pressures and continue to bulk bill many chronic disease reviews and health assessments. Unfortunately, the current Medicare rebate still falls well short of covering the cost of providing quality, comprehensive medical care. If this affects you, we encourage you to raise the issue with your local federal MP, as this is a broader funding issue across general practice.
