LOCATION: Tumut, Yass and Queanbeyan
(The position may be based at any of these locations. Regular travel between sites is required)
SALARY: $139,000 – $145,000 per annum + super

About the Role
The Manager – Day Programs, Lifestyle & Community Connections will report directly to the Senior Manager – Disability Operations and oversee four distinct operational areas:
• Career Development Initiatives
• Community Access
• Day and Recreation Programs
• Respite Services.
This key role combines strategic oversight with operational leadership and is responsible for:
• Leading and developing staff across multiple service locations.
• Driving program quality, safeguarding, compliance and service improvement aligned with NDIS Practice Standards.
• Overseeing daily service deliver, rostering, utilisation and resource management.
• Designing and implementing innovative, community-based programs that promote independence, skills and social participation.
• Managing NDIS funded supports, service agreements and financial sustainability.
• Ensuring high-quality documentation, incident management and governance processes.
• Building productive relationships with participants, families, community partners and stakeholders.
• Supporting organisational growth and contributing to broader strategic initiatives.
About You
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing, mentoring and developing teams across multiple locations, preferable within disability support or similar human services settings.
• Proven operational management capability. Including experience designing, coordinating and overseeing PCP's that promote skill development, independence and community participation.
• Strong working knowledge of the NDIS with the ability to ensure service delivery, documentation and practice meet NDIS Standards, safeguarding requirements and compliance obligations.
• Demonstrated understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, including practical experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans and supporting reductions in restrictive practices.
• Well-developed financial and risk management skills, including experience in crisis response, incident management and emergency planning to ensure safe and consistent service delivery.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build respectful and effective relationships with participants, families, staff and community partners.
• High level of digital literacy, including confidence using client management and organisation systems, and the ability to maintain accurate and compliant records.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Health Services (or similar).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at a senior level, preferably in Disability Operation Services for adults with disabilities.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within Disability Operations (or similar Human Services Environment), including demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• CPI or equivalent behaviour support training (or willingness to obtain).
• Full Australian working rights.
