What does an OT Assistant session actually look like?

At Empowered Kids, therapy focuses on building real skills through play, movement and everyday experiences.

Children practise the skills they need for daily life — from fine motor and handwriting to independence skills and practical tasks.

Our OT Assistant sessions are delivered by trained therapy staff working under the supervision of our Occupational Therapists, providing a supportive and cost-effective way to access therapy.

Parenting a child with a neurodevelopmental disability or developmental delay can be incredibly rewarding, and at times, challenging too. If you’re looking for extra support, researchers from UQ are inviting families of children aged 0–10 years (with diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, FASD, or developmental delay) to take part in a research trial of PACT Online - a free, online parenting support program.

This is a wonderful opportunity to access additional support from home while contributing to research that aims to better support families like yours.

We currently have immediate availability for OT Assistant sessions with Milly.

Milly is a trained paediatric Occupational Therapist, educated in Chile, and is currently awaiting Australian registration. While completing this process, she is delivering OT Assistant sessions - offering families a more cost-effective way to access therapy support.
