Heart Centered Awareness Practice

What is Art Therapy?

Using Creative expression, Art Therapy offers a diverse exploration of emotions and feelings. It provides a creative and flexible environment which encourages both self discovery and emotional growth. Art therapy is a two part process, involving both the creation of art and the discovery of its meaning interpreted by the client.

The Purpose of Art Therapy

The purpose of Art Therapy is to allow you to re connect with yourself on a deeper level. This new awareness improves understanding of your emotions, through the involvement, creation and witnessing of the art process. Allowing this emotional healing process in a supportive and nurturing environment evokes critical insight into emotions, thoughts and feelings. As an alternative to talking, art therapy harnesses non verbal expression to work through emotional and mental health issues from stress and anxiety to behavioural problems, mental illness, self esteem and relationship problems.
