The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting in World War I.
It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Tweed Heads & Coolangatta RSL will be holding a service on Tuesday at Queen Elizabeth Park Coolangatta
10.45am Qld time.
All are Welcome.

Today I had a quick chat with Ruby & her owner Roger.
Ruby is 17 years old. She now has dementia. She is also deaf & blind but stills loves her daily walks even though it takes her half an hour to walk about 100 meters.
Roger can remember the first day Ruby was brought home. Ruby was the runt of the litter & they fell instantly in love with this ball of white fluff she has been spoilt ever since.
Ruby gets a little upset if her dinner is not on time or they are late with her afternoon walk even thought Ruby has ruled their lives Over the years Ruby has given her owners so much unconditional love.

After 19 years of hard work & dedication Dianne worked her last day today in The Palms Village office & now heads off into retirement.
While I’m incredibly happy for her, I’m also very sad she is leaving.

Dianne you have been a huge part of the Village not just in the work you have done but in the way you have done it, with kindness patience, wisdom & fairness.
Thank you Di for teaching me everything I know, I have big shoes to fill.
I’m sure I speak on behalf of all the residents in Wishing you all the joy, peace, doctors appointments & great adventures that retirement brings.
Thanks for all the fun times we had working together.
