International Women’s Day may have fallen on the weekend, but as we return to the clinics it feels like the perfect moment to recognise the incredible women who make up the heart of our team.

Our team is made up largely of women, each bringing an extraordinary range of strengths to the table every single day. Our team is agile, resilient, capable and strong. We are firm when needed, adaptable in the face of change, and consistently focused on delivering the best care for our patients.

At the same time, what truly defines our team is the balance we bring - kindness, care, patience and gentleness. Those qualities are just as powerful as strength, and they shape the way we support our patients and each other.

The GCTED Annual Optometry GALA 2026 is only days away! RSVPs close this Friday, 6th February. If you’ve been meaning to book, this is your sign - tickets are almost gone.

We’re also excited to offer optional CPR certification (HLTAID009) before the event. These spots are filling quickly. The online theory takes around 30 minutes, making it very easy to complete ahead of the day.

On Wednesday, our team completed CPR training. While we hope these skills are never needed, maintaining them is essential. Ongoing training like this is part of our commitment to patient safety, preparedness, and maintaining strong clinical knowledge across our team.

⏳ 30 days to go until the GCTED Annual Optometry GALA 2026 — and we’re already 80% full!

All the final details are coming together and we couldn’t be more excited. The food and catering are locked in and looking fantastic, presentations and breakout activities are shaping up beautifully, and we’ve got some great gifts and goodies organised for everyone on the day 🎁✨

🫀 CPR certification (HLTAID009) is also available as an optional extra, with limited spots that are being snapped up quickly. We recently completed this in-clinic and had a great experience - the theory component is straightforward and can be completed online in around 30 minutes prior to the event. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this alongside the gala this year.
