The Ballina Salvage Shed has closed its doors, but what a send-off!
On the final day, staff and the community came together for a BBQ, a surprise flash mob, and plenty of hugs and memories. The Shed has been more than a recycling shop, it’s been a place where people connected, friendships formed, and locals shared everyday moments together.

On 16 October 2025, Momentum Collective entered voluntary administration and has since been working closely with FTI Consulting, government partners and key community stakeholders.
Our focus has been unwavering: maintaining business as usual for as long as possible, ensuring continuity of care for customers and protecting jobs wherever feasible.
Through this process:
- Services have continued without disruption during transition
- At this stage, the majority of roles have been retained through transfers to new providers
- Customers have been supported to move seamlessly to organisations of their choice and best placed to continue their care
- All secured and unsecured creditors will be paid in full, ensuring no outstanding debts remain
We are proud that, despite the complexity of this period, the needs of our customers, staff and partners have remained our priority throughout.
