Wearing black to a funeral is a long-standing tradition, often associated with mourning, respect, and remembrance.

The custom became widely recognised during the Victorian era, when black was worn to symbolise grief and the solemnity of loss. Over time, it has remained a simple and respectful way to honour someone’s life and show support for those who are grieving.

While traditions have evolved, and personal expression is always welcomed, wearing black continues to be a quiet gesture of respect and reflection... 🍃🕊️🕯️

Along long with New Mornings we are excited to be hosting monthly ‘Cuppa and Connection Meetings’ ☕🍃

These casual catch ups are designed for anyone who has recently lost a loved one. 🥀✨

Grief support staff from New Mornings, not-for-profit organisation, will provide gentle encouragement, grief education, and compassionate conversation to help you better understand your journey and feel more supported and less alone.
