Just recently I was praying about all the mess we’ve walked through in our lives, and I know I’m not alone in this. I believe many have endured messy seasons. As I was praying, God showed me a picture, and throughout the revealing, He answered my many questions.
I saw Jesus in a room, He was sweeping the floor. The floor was covered in mess.
I was curious as to why He was doing this - didn’t He have angels to attend to such menial tasks?
The answer dropped in my spirit, Jesus desires to get into the middle of our dirt and disorder and longs to help us straighten up our lives.
For I knew the room represented our everyday life, and the mess He was cleaning up was the turmoil we have gone through.
I looked at the mess that Jesus was gathering into a pile. There were hundreds of pieces of paper, all ripped and torn (not neatly cut) and there was one word written on each small sheet, but the word varied from ‘Hurt’, ‘Pain,’ ‘Torment’, ‘Betrayal’, ‘Rejection’, ‘Grief’, ‘Sadness’, ‘Lies’, ‘Accusation’, ‘Depression’, ‘Loneliness’, ‘Sickness’, ‘Failure’…. and the list went on.
I asked Jesus, “What will You do with all this mess You’re sweeping up?”
“All this (pointing at the pile), goes straight into the fire,” He responded with a satisfied sound in His voice.
After every single wounded word had been collected, and without a single sheet being left behind, the pile was completely discarded, and I mean completely, without a trace that the mess ever existed.
Jesus then got down on His knees, and with the whitest, cleanest cloth, He began soaking up wet patches which were sporadically splatted on the floor around the room.
As He mopped, He then squeezed the cloth into a very special clear glass vessel.
I wondered at what He was doing, and as if He had read my thoughts, He explained to me, “This jar now contains the precious tears of My dear children, shed from all the mess they walked through. These tears I collect and treasure. They will not be discarded or forgotten.”
The vision then ended.
I believe Jesus is right now cleaning up the mess in our lives and He is bringing healing.
In the vision He was preparing the room to be refurnished, re-equipped and redecorated. And He is doing the same in us.
He is preparing us, emptying us of our mess so we can be re-equipped, re-furnished, re-stored, filled anew, blessed, ready and prepared for all the good that results from what the enemy intended for evil.
Be excited!
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away… And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you…’ Ezekiel 36:25,26
“You’ve kept track of all my wandering and my weeping. You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle—not one will be lost. For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.”
