Apologies for being so quiet on here lately…🦗🦗
It’s been a busy few months (or 12!) I’m still here, and there’s lots going on behind the scenes ❤️

In addition to my clinic work (which I love 🥰) I’ve been focusing on several passion-projects:

✨Getting ready to take my NeurodivergentAlly resources to two of the biggest national conferences for psychologists in Australia, as well as the Yellow Ladybugs and Source Kids Disability events

✨Publishing my children’s book about being AuDHD (just wait until you see the beautiful illustrations!) 📚

✨Confirming my longstanding suspicions that my brain is neurodivergent, just like so many of my beautiful clients’ ❤️♾️❤️

✨Creating a social group for neurodivergent therapists and health professionals 🫶

✨And finally, guesting on a podcast for the first time! 🎧

Visited one of my favourite places today! I bought books 2 and 3 of the series I’m currently reading, and all three of the next series on my list. I didn’t buy a single psychology book, because I find that I never read more than a chapter or two… shhh, don’t tell anybody!

Did you know that many psychologists harbour a secret desire to open a bookstore combined with a coffee shop? Not me! Being surrounded by books but being unable to read them because someone needs their coffee sounds a little tortuous.

Hands up if you’re a fellow book lover 🙋🏻‍♀️ 📚 ❤️

It's so important that autistic and ADHD kids see themselves represented in books and on TV, in a way that accepts and normalises the way that they experience and are a part of our world. Have a watch of this lovely example with or without your littles!

If you’d told ‘student me’ that I’d one day have an Etsy store, I would’ve said (with raised eyebrow) “I highly doubt that.” But here we are 😂

I’ve got the professional snaps, I’m learning about the ‘algorithm’, I’m favourite-ing T-shirts with cute bunnies on them (ok this is not strictly relevant to my store, but they’re cuuuuute!)

Enjoying the speakers, chats and connecting with families, teachers and other professionals at the My Spirited Child ADHD Conference in Hobart today!
I started the day right, being the first through the door at my fave Hobart bakery Jackman & McRoss for a hot choccie and snacks at 7am this morning, and will be more than ready for a sleep in after the long drive home tonight (thanks roadworks 🙄)

TGIF!! I have a rotten cold, so I decided to practice what I preach and take the day off…ok, so I still finished a report, did some social media content, and did some planning for my new parenting program. Taking time off is hard! I’m now officially tucked up on the couch for the evening, with a fluffy blanket and fluffy companion Mog 😻 What are your top tips for getting over a cold?
