I am officially away from the page as of today until the 8th December.
I am going to visit my sons and beautiful grandchildren.
I need to take a much needed break that's been long overdue and get some of the most amazing hugs from my grandkids.

Grief can take many years for it to finally ease, yet it never truly goes away.
You can continue living on in your life but you will always have a missing piece of your heart.
Every loss of a loved one you've ever had, holds space in your heart.
Hold each memory close to your heart and when the memory fades, ask them to bring a new memory to the surface and hold onto that one too.
There is no measure in pain, no time worthy for closure or no amount of time to release grief.
What you can do each day is get up, appreciate the memories and moments you had together and ask for them to watch over you with love and support.

Never ask, how are you?
Just say, I am here to listen, to be your supporter and to be anything you need me to be in this time.

If you are grieving now, I can only feel what you are going through now because everyone's grief journey is different.
I still grieve for my son every November for the past 27 years.
At times its so unbearable and at other times it doesn't hurt as much. At this moment, it hurts a lot more and for me. I feel likes its the final closure of a chapter that I didn't want to end.
I am accepting this so I can breathe a little lighter.
