Pozieres House celebrated their Christmas party on Wednesday in style. This was run across three separate floors as Mitch entertained residents and family members 🎄

A delicious meal was served and thank you to the catering team for all your hard work. Santa visited with Mrs Claus and the Annali a staff member here and dancer from Spirit of the Islands performed. It was a lot of fun and there were plenty of smiles.

We would like to acknowledge our Volunteer Lyn who has been with Peninsula Villages for close to 5 years. Lyn has been assisting in Don Leggett House for this time and has built a trusting, friendly kinship with residents, staff and other volunteers.

Lyn helps with the footy tipping, daily activities, supporting the therapy dog visits and many other amazing services to assist our residents. We are going to miss you Lyn and we wish you all the best. We look forward to your next visit.

Pozieres House held their Christmas Carols on Friday and although the weather was a little wet and cold, warm hearts filled the room as residents and families including little ones sang along to Evan Haswell’s beautiful songs.

There were special gifts from Santa and Mrs Clause, and everyone had a lovely afternoon which lead into dinner. This was a beautiful afternoon.

Residents from Peninsula Villages attended the Brisbane Water Rotary Dementia Friendly Café Christmas Party.

There were performances from local dance groups and a visit from Santa. Everyone had a great morning and we will be organising bus trips in the new year to these special café morning teas.
