Peninsula Villages celebrated the lovely Norma Bailey’s 100th Birthday!

Norma celebrated this wonderful milestone surrounded by family, and even received a visit from The Gals dance group - the very same group that she was one of the first members of.

Norma was given a very special performance, her toes were tapping and The Gals wowed their audience.

Happy birthday Norma! 🎉

The beach has been an integral part of many of Peninsula villages residents’ lives. When Sandra asked to go to the beach and get in the water it was our honour to make this happen. Sandra was assisted by Care and Support Coordinator Narelle and Lifestyle Manager Greg to Ocean Beach.

With the assistance of the Lifeguards on duty, Sandra was driven to the shore in the buggy, assisted to the floating ability chair and taken into the water. The feeling of the salty ocean waves was a joy for Sandra and she said she has looked forward to this for many years. Feeling the soothing water on her arms and the sand between her toes made her dreams come true. The fish and chips and coffee afterwards was the cherry on top. A great day.

Peninsula Villages celebrated Australia Day in style yesterday and everyone kicked a goal. There were plenty of fun events happening for residents to choose from. Pam Palmer House saw arts and crafts on the go, thong throwing and lamington making.

Pozieres House courtyard was a buzz with tug of war, a pie eating competition, a push of a display lawnmower, egg racing and pavlova making. The front receptions Australia Day tree was certainly a stunner. Residents and staff were well fed in Don Leggett House with a BBQ cooked to perfection. What a fun day had by all and a great example of how our community comes together on days like these.
