Professional a IS PILATES FOR ME? Core strengthening & Postural Alignment.

When you enrol in a pilates exercise program, your program will include work along 4 different lines. The 4 Lines are: Stretching & Flexibility work. Outer muscle strength. Increased cardiovascular function through proper breathing technique. Each Line of work is as important as the other. None of them should be neglected. Weakness, stiffness, pain, low energy, are all signs that you have an imbalance. You may be strong, or fit enough to run on the beach, but without working on all the 4 lines, the chance of developing injuries becomes much higher. The aim in pilates is regaining freedom of movement without pain or restrictions, and a have sustainable exercise program we can participate in well into our 80’s. Within the Pilates environment you will be working on all 4 Lines without letting any one of them become over developed to the neglect of the others. Pilates is an intellegent and sustainable way to exercise. With only 4 people in a class and individual supervised programs, the opportunity for a longterm result is greatly enhanced.

Pilates Classes pause for 2 weeks!

I suppose you were expecting this message. Higher authority advises that we close studio pilates classes for two weeks as a result of the latest outbreak of the virulent new Covid strain in Sydney. I apologise for having to pause your classes, especially for those of you who just started Pilates last week!
Everyone will automatically get a two week extension on their "Pilates Use by date" that you have highlighted on your receipt. Julie will log it into the role sheet and you will not lose any sessions from my having to close classes.
If there is any loophole that arises for us to resume sooner I will notify you pronto!
In the meantime, my sincere apologies and please stay well, and do your pilates at home!
Julie will follow up with a phone call in case you didn't get this message
Warmest Regards,
Karen

Apologies to all of you for having to close the Pilates Studio for the short term. I will stay in touch with all of you. As soon as it's deemed safe we will resume! Until then Pilates at home is advisable. I am planning to make a couple of YouTube clips for you to carry on with. Pilates Anytime website has some good online classes, but for the beginners, a word of advice, be careful.
