Your aesthetic plan should evolve as your body does.

Following weight change or hormonal transition, it may be appropriate to:
• Reassess facial structure
• Adjust treatment timing
• Shift toward regenerative support
• Avoid overcorrection

Long-term aesthetic care is not static — it is responsive.

Regular review ensures your plan remains aligned with your current physiology.

Collagen is a protein — and protein intake matters more in midlife.

During perimenopause and periods of weight change, adequate protein becomes increasingly important for:
• Collagen synthesis
• Lean muscle preservation
• Tissue repair
• Metabolic stability

Loss of muscle mass can influence not only strength and metabolic rate, but also structural facial support and recovery capacity.

Beyond dietary protein, some patients may benefit from targeted nutritional supplementation and gut optimisation strategies to support:
• Sustained energy levels
• Muscle maintenance and recovery
• Nutrient absorption
• Hormonal balance

Gut health plays a central role in how efficiently nutrients are absorbed and utilised. Supporting digestive integrity may assist in maintaining energy, resilience and overall wellbeing during hormonal transition.

In clinical practice, we may discuss evidence-informed supplementation and nutritional support options as part of a broader women’s health and weight management strategy. These discussions are individualised and based on medical history, current health status and goals.

Regenerative aesthetic outcomes are strengthened when internal foundations are addressed.

Surface treatments alone cannot replace systemic support.

Stay tuned for more real life examples on what health intakes looks like.

Weight loss can change more than the number on the scale.

Significant or rapid weight change may influence:
• Facial volume distribution
• Skin laxity
• Muscle mass
• Collagen density

Medical weight management should consider metabolic health, muscle preservation and skin quality — not simply weight reduction.
When weight shifts, aesthetic planning should adapt accordingly.

When structure changes, strategy must change.

Traditional volumising approaches focus on replacing lost volume. While appropriate in selected cases, perimenopausal skin often benefits from strengthening the dermal foundation first.

Biostimulatory treatments aim to encourage collagen production gradually, supporting structural integrity over time.

The clinical question becomes:
Are we building structure — or simply filling space?

Longevity requires foundation.

“Why doesn’t my treatment last the way it used to?”

This is a common question during perimenopause or even post menopause.
Hormonal fluctuations influence collagen turnover and tissue integrity. As structural support changes, the way your skin responds to treatment can also change.
What worked five years ago may no longer produce the same response — not because something is wrong, but because your physiology has evolved.

This is often the time to:
• Review your treatment plan
• Adjust intervals
• Reassess priorities
• Focus on regenerative strategies
• Review anatomy and structural needs

Hormonal shifts are not necessarily a setback, more often than not, is a signal to reassess.

A gradual approach to supporting skin integrity.

Biostimulatory treatments work by stimulating collagen production beneath the surface of the skin. Changes typically develop progressively, often assessed several months following the initial treatment.

The images presented show baseline and months post initial treatment, provided with informed patient consent. Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed.

Clinical planning is always individualised, taking into account facial anatomy, treatment goals, and medical history.

Perimenopause is a collagen transition — not just a hormonal one.

From our late 30s onward, collagen production gradually declines. During perimenopause, fluctuating oestrogen levels can accelerate this process, influencing skin thickness, hydration, elasticity and healing capacity.

You may notice:
• Skin feeling thinner
• Increased laxity
• Changes in texture
• Slower recovery

This is not failure — it is physiology.
At this stage, treatment planning often shifts toward supporting dermal strength and collagen stimulation rather than simply replacing volume.
Understanding your biology allows for more strategic decisions.

Subtle. Gradual. Collagen-supporting care.

Biostimulatory treatments are designed to support your skin’s own regenerative processes over time. Rather than creating immediate volume, they work gradually by encouraging collagen production — with changes typically developing progressively in the weeks and months following treatment.

Every face ages differently, and treatment suitability depends on individual assessment, skin quality, and health history.
If you’re curious about long-term skin quality strategies, a personalised consultation is the first step.

This Before and after- is an example of results, after the first session on a structured treatment plan, focusing on long term progress and skin health.

Sometimes growth looks quieter than you expect.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little less visible lately, it’s been intentional.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been refining the direction of the clinic, strengthening systems, and commencing further university study to expand my scope in the primary Health Space - more specifically, women’s health and weight management.

My goal is simple — to provide thoughtful, accessible and evidence-informed care to the people in my local community.

I’ve also sold my laser device and made the decision to step away from laser treatments (for now, anyway). This allows me to focus more deeply on the areas of practice where I can provide the greatest clinical value. All other services remain unchanged.

This year is about clarity, sustainability, and continuing to evolve in a way that supports both my patients and my family.

If you have questions about your treatment plan or would like to discuss how these updates may affect you, you’re always welcome to reach out or book a consultation to review your options.

Thank you for being part of this journey, the growth and refinement of a clinic I'm genuinely so proud of 🤎

One year. 134 classes. Countless small, consistent choices 🤍

Twelve months ago I made a commitment — not to aesthetics, not to outcomes — but to my health. To strength. To longevity.

Reformer Pilates at three times a week. Showing up even when motivation felt low. Prioritising nourishing food. Protecting sleep. Being intentional with my energy and whom i surround myself with.

134 classes later, I’m not just seeing physical change — I’m feeling resilience. My chronic health markers have improved, my strength has increased, and I feel more in control of how my body is ageing — even while navigating the challenges of an autoimmune condition.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency. It’s about choosing long-term health over quick fixes.

As clinicians, we speak often about evidence-based treatment and preventative care — and this is my personal reminder that lifestyle foundations matter deeply.
Movement is medicine. Strength is protective. And ageing can be supported with intention.

If you’re on your own health journey — wherever that may be — consider this your gentle encouragement to start small and stay consistent. Your future self will thank you 🤍

Disclaimer: This is a personal health journey. Results will vary. Always seek personalised medical advice before commencing any new exercise or nutrition program, particularly if managing a chronic condition.

Progress, Not Perfection — Real Skin, Real Results

This is the improvement after one medical-grade SkinPen session. A reminder that meaningful skin change is a journey, and even early steps can create visible progress.
SkinPen microneedling works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin, supporting your natural collagen and elastin production. Over time, this helps refine texture, soften the look of mild/moderate scarring, improve tone and clarity, and strengthen overall skin health.

🔬 Why it’s commonly recommended:
• Uneven texture or acne scarring
• Dullness and changes in clarity
• Early signs of collagen decline
• Long-term skin health optimisation

Typical treatment plan:
Most clients benefit from a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance based on individual goals.

Skin journeys take time — but with the right plan and consistent care, small steps lead to big changes.
