Our Brave & Bright Beginnings Program is a gentle, play-based journey that helps children build the emotional and social skills they need to start school with confidence.

Led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Associate Play Therapist, children will explore:
💛 Understanding and managing big feelings
💛 Building confidence and independence
💛 Making and keeping friends
💛 Listening, focusing, and following routines
💛 Feeling safe, capable, and excited about school

Each week builds emotional readiness in a nurturing, child-centred environment — supporting not just the mind, but the heart.

💜 This weekend, Mercia had the privilege of spending another weekend with Lisa Dion completing the Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy® program in Brisbane.

Synergetic Play Therapy® is a research-informed approach that blends play, nervous system regulation, attachment, and connection to help children process big feelings and life’s challenges in safe and supportive ways.

It was also such a joy to spend time with colleagues and alumni from the Queensland Institute of Play Therapy — learning alongside others who share the same passion for supporting children and families. 🌱

Today was the very first day of The Business of Therapy course in Sydney … and Mercia had the absolute privilege of meeting Lisa Dion in person!

Lisa’s work has been such a huge influence in the play therapy world, and getting to learn directly from her (and connect with other passionate therapists + practice owners) has been nothing short of inspiring.

This weekend is all about stepping beyond the therapy room — thinking bigger, aligning with values, and finding the courage (and practical strategies!) to bring our visions to life.

Curious Box is growing, learning, and dreaming right alongside so many others in this field ✨
